Mario creates tacos in his backyard out of leaves, mud, and flower petals. Marissa thinks that they are horrible. Mario asks his grandmother to make real tacos, but she does not have the ingredients. Mario draws pictures of what they will need to pick up from the store for the tacos. Their cousin Chico is not very nice at the store or during mud taco time.
I enjoyed this book; the pictures are amazing. I do not have many books featuring Hispanic children, so I decided to read this book. This book is not just intended for Hispanic children, everybody loves tacos.
