I'm not sure if I am going to fit in here. I like rock, classic rock, but I don't really know anything other then I like it. Sure I know a couple of the names and back drop folks but that is all. I know from other conversations that KD knows the blood type of just about anyone who has ever stepped foot on a stage. I can not compete with that kind of talent...
What I am listening to this month:
Janis Joplin (the essentials)
Muddy Waters (as usual)
The stray cats
The presidents of the united states of America (all 4 albums)
The doors
Buddy guy
Susan tudeski (sp?)
Oh I have loads of bonnie ray. I don't think I have heard any Wilson picket but I could be wrong (really bad with names, with the advent of music files on computer, I rarely learn the name of who I am listening to unless it comes up in conversation. "Oh that guy! Yeah I have him" {:-/ Once you get this music share figured out I would be happy to send out the goods. Or even mail it to you the old way.
Ok, a quick question, when you 'swap' do you physically mail CD's to each other. If so I would much rather prefer having someone download it off of www.yousendit.com or some other similar site. Or am I missing something here?
??? I have no idea how this works... So I'm just going to scratch my ass until someone baby steps me through it.

Paint it Black-Rolling Stones
I've been part of a group for... oh, a decade now (and I was quite the latecomer-- they were originally founded in the very early days of CompuServe, if any of the rest of you are old enough to remember that far back!)... that used to do something called TATU-- Tapes Around the Universe. Of course, by the time I got there, with a few expressions, it was CDATU. Over the last couple of years, some of the crowd have been doing MTATU (mixtapes around the universe)-- in CD or electronic form, of course-- that have been themed. I adored this idea, and started jotting down ideas for five or six themed comps to use in 2008... at which point we all stopped doing them save a couple of diehards with a lot more money for postage than the rest of us. :) But I still have the old scribblings, even though I've never tried to put one together to see how the songs dit, what would need arranged, etc.As long as they're under a certain amount of space (and I can't remember how much space that is right now-- 2GB?), you can use spendspace to send them flying over the world.
(How the hell did I fit Fantomas' cover of the theme song of The Omen in with my Aaliyah comp?)
Perhaps it's time to put together Kontrol+Alt+Delete and see if anyone bites...
Well, I can't download or snail mail anything until I get home, I'm at work for another 15 days so... yeah. Not that I have much to share, I am sure you all carry a lot more tunes then I do.
No no, no Whitesnake here. The only of those that was serious was my "current" list. Which has been greatly altered as I now find myself having to score a trio for a friickin handfasting. Someone please save me from "Fantasie Impromptu"... Ah well.La Campanella-Niccolo Paganini
Sleeping Beauty Waltz-Pytor Illych Tsaicovsky
What is this Feeling?-Wicked Soundtrack
Go Away Godboy-Susan Tucker(Skinny White Chick)

Lenny-Stevie Ray Vaughn
Mad Season-Dave Matthews
Winter Suite-Vivaldi
Be Allright-Dana Davis
We Do Not Die-Dreamtrybe
Road Tested-Bonnie Raitt Live double disc
All this Bonnie Raitt chatter got me in the mood. She does a killer cover of "Burnin' Down the House" on one of those....
Lets see them Robert, I wanna list, I want a mix, if I have to down load it fine, If I get it in my mail FINE.... Lets see what you got!I got a long, long way to go-- I'd need to burn one and stick it in the car and make sure everything flows, and then make minor adjustments. (For the mp3 mix I did for the family roadtrip last May, I worked on it for a year...) Right now I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off recording things for the show, but I'll attempt.
Here's the first draft list for KAD, though I'm relatively sure you won't recognize most of it...

There are a few rather odd cameos as well...;-)I'll have to put some of it where you can download it.
well they are pretty raw. They are not very refined at all, so you have to be in a reckless mood to dig'um. IMO.
Be a couple weeks before I can trade anything (or even receive anything) via snail mail. I'll swap ya on the next trip, and trip it will be...;-)

Here is a link to my November play list. The link will be good for 7 days/100 downloads starting today [11/11:]. They are all labeled and in .mp3 format @ a file size of 70Mb [approx.:] in a .zip package. Should be a quick download for most broadband users with 5Mb or higher downstream.

enjoy.
I just have to comment on #25. Servius, G. Love & Special Sauce are my all time favs, and almost no one knows or appreciates them! I guess I'm just excited to have another fan around!
oh, dude, if I could do cover art.(There's a place I just heard about called morguefile.com that's all royalty-free commercial-grade pics, so I'm going to be looking at that later today...)
To put pictures on discs themselves, you need special equipment-- either a Lightscribe CD-RW or DVD-RW burner (for monochrome) or a CD printer (for color). I have both, and the first major test of each will be a series of XTerminal limited editions I'm putting together for the show on the 29th. So I'm not exactly sure how each works, but I've got the theory down... for lightscribe, you burn the disc, then turn it over, and the laser burns the picture onto the disc (which has to have a special kind of dye on the cover side, I guess, to take the picture). A CD printer-- mine's an HP PhotoSmart 5100 I picked up for about eighty bucks last year, probably cheaper now-- you load a CD with a white coating on the cover side just like you would printer paper, and it prints on the CD. It used to be that only HP sold the CDs and they were expensive as hell, but Imation just started making them and I picked up a 10-pack for ten bucks last week. So I can experiment!
As for that mix, I'd love to send you a copy... but then I realized I never replaced one of the central tracks after a CD wallet got stolen out of my car... and the disc has been OOP for ten years. Ever since I posted that, I redoubled my efforts to track down another copy (it's a favorite of mine and I haven't heard it in forever!). I will now also attempt to unearth a playlist around here where I actually HAVE EVERYTHING ON IT. Brilliant!
(With 30,000 songs in the collection, you wouldn't think that'd be hard, would you?)
Oh, and I gotta ask. It is really, really vain and horrible if I add an XTerminal track onto a themed comp? heh. I hate self-promotion and try to slip it in the back door whenever I can.
Eh, I'll post it... what's the worst that's gonna happen, some sexy thing from Goodreads is gonna start stalking me? Leaving half-eaten books on my front porch?(They'll flee screaming as soon as they SEE me, of course...)

Also the place to send hate mail if any of you wrote a book and I gave it a horrible review and have since forgotten. (I tend to do that a lot.)

Seriously though, are you talking HTML, Cubase, or just share the list in text?
Or, have I missunderstood you entirely?
