twilovers discussion

some friends and I have been discussing which gem stone is Bella's favorite and so I started reading Twilight again for the 8th or 9th time in my second copy. I believe it was garnet but became topaz because Edward's eyes are the color of topaz when he is not hungry.

What do you think?
