Lindsay (kelofmindelan) | 7 comments Ok, I was just curious who everyone's favorite book or quartet was by Tamora Pierce. I know that it would be really hard for me to chose and wondered if anybody else had better luck.

message 2: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments Oh, gosh that's so hard!!! I'd have to say:
-Protector of the Small
-Song of the Lioness
-The Immortals
I really loved them all, but there were some really awesome characters in the Protector of the Small that I LOVED!!!! I just love them all almost equally actually, so this was super tough!

message 3: by Tiamat100 (new)

Tiamat100 | 3 comments The Immortals Quartet. You can just really identify with her.
If you're counting ones that aren't in Tortall, then it's fairly close with the Circle Of Magic Quartet.

message 4: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments im reading the circle of magic. it's pretty good so far!! is the series good overall?

message 5: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments cool! thanks. are the tortall books better or worse in you're opinion?

message 6: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay (kelofmindelan) | 7 comments I really enjoyed both of them, but The Circle of Magic was easier for me to start with whereas my friend started with the Alanna books. I really enjoy all of her works, but Kel, Sandry, and Aly would be some of my favorites.

message 7: by Caroline (new)

Caroline I enjoy all of her books, but I like the first-person narration in the Beka Cooper books. I like how close you feel to Aly in Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen, too.

message 8: by Karina (new)

Karina Is Circle of Magic anygood? I'm thinking about reading them, but not sure. In order from Favorite to least favorite in the Tortall World would be something like this.

1. Song of the Lioness
2. Tricksters Duet
3. Beka Cooper
4. Protector of the Small
5. The Immortals War

message 9: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments omg!! the 1st circle of magic's amazing so far!!!!!! i recommend it too!!! i like tris so far, sandry's ok, but talks 2 much, briar's pretty cool, and daja's awesome, but tris is still my favorite so far.....

message 10: by Karina (new)

Karina i'll try and get it from the library. I tried reading it once, i think, but couldn't get into it...or maybe it was another book. I'm not sure anymore.

message 11: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments you should! i've just started the series and it rocks!!

message 12: by Karina (new)

Karina i'll try. i have to find them first though.

message 13: by Karina (new)

Karina probably but i'm library banned at the momnet. not aloud to check books out while i'm in school. apparently i get distracted....

message 14: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments don't u have a public library??

message 15: by Karina (new)

Karina we do but i'm not aloud to go to it when i'm in school.

message 16: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments well... yeah, what about out of school? i go 2 my public library after school all the time.

message 17: by Karina (new)

Karina my school library only has the tortall ones...but that's okay cause those are my favorites!

message 18: by Karina (new)

Karina at my old school they just sat there on a shelf, getting old and forgotten till i found them and made my friends read them. they had the circle series ones, but i didn't want to read them...now i can't.

message 19: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments lol. yeah, same at my school. if i talk about tamora pierce, they're like, what?? so yeah, it's me and like 3 friends who read them.

message 20: by Karina (new)

Karina lol. love it!

message 21: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay (kelofmindelan) | 7 comments I've gotten a bunch of my friends to read Tamora Pierce so that is fun. The Circle books are super good, and they are what got me interested in Tamora Pierce so that is always special.

message 22: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments tortall got me interested. my aunt gave me the first test for my birthday years ago.

message 23: by Karina (new)

Karina i buy all my tortall books used, beacuse I like the old covers better.

i'm getting my friends to read them. but the second book in the Song of the Lioness kind of freaked them out. Cause it was like Jonathan/Alanna, even though you actually didn't read anything.

Heidi | 48 comments lol! yeah, i've read worse. have any of u read rumors from the luxe series. now THAT gets suggestive! and breaking dawn is too.

message 25: by Karina (new)

Karina it sucked. i hated that book!

message 26: by Karina (new)

Karina it was like a big ff!! i have a list of complaints on the twilight lovers page

message 27: by Karina (new)

Karina i read them all before the last one

message 28: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 48 comments i was obsessed, but now im not! breking dawn wasn't THAT bad. it was just random.

message 29: by Anna (new)

Anna (violin313) | 6 comments Twilight was more of a fad, but Harry Potter will live forever!

message 38: by Kaye (new)

Kaye (lexiconlover) | 8 comments Well, if it counts any at this moment my favorite series are the Circle books (all of them) and the Immortals Quartet.

message 39: by Karina (new)

Karina yeps it still counts. thanks for getting us back on subject.

message 40: by Karina (new)

Karina i still haven't read the circle books.

message 41: by Kaye (new)

Kaye (lexiconlover) | 8 comments You're missing out.

message 42: by Karina (new)

Karina i bet i am

message 43: by Anna (new)

Anna (violin313) | 6 comments I would have to say my favorite quartet is the Immortals. My favorite book (in a non series) is Will of the Empress

I think I have read most of the Circle books but not all of them.

message 44: by Karina (new)

Karina I love Squire too. I also like Lady Knight from that siereis.

I love the Song of the Lioness series though, best one.

message 45: by Alexandra (new)

Alexandra (alexandrans) | 27 comments Well, probably Protector of the Small or Song of the Lioness. I mean, Alanna is by far my favorite, but I love seeing her in Protector of the Small after knowing what she went through in Song of the Lioness. But all of the Tortall books are incredible. Well, for that matter, so are the Circle books, but I like the Tortall universe better.

message 46: by Karina (new)

Karina I love the Totall series, not that i've read the circle books but that was beacuse i coudln't get into them. I love Alanna too. I love anyone from the Song of the Lioness.

message 47: by Gillian (new)

Gillian (bright1401) | 3 comments Beka Cooper AND Song of the Lioness.

message 48: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 9 comments How are we supposed to choose?
Probably POTS, because I love the story lines and Kel, but I love to see Alanna and Daine in those books. Hmmm… but the Song of the Lioness, Immortals and Beka are all so good!

message 49: by Helena (new)

Helena Maddox | 2 comments Favorite is Circle of Magic. The Circle Opens sounded really good, but it isn't.
