START!

Fireheart layed down on a rock, enjoying the rays of the sun.

Sundancer scratched her ear growling some.

Fireheart turned to lie on her back, she smiled at the sun.

She looked at Fireheart tilting her head some

Fireheart noticed Sundancer, "Oh um..hi!"

"hey"she looked at her"wha are you doing?"

"Enjoying the rays of the sun?" She shook her fur and jumped from the rock.

Sundancer shrugged"okay"before itching her ear some agian

"So what are you doing?" She asked, now sitting on the ground.

She smiled"trying to get rid of this stupid itch"

Fireheart laughed, "Well it might go away sooner or later."

"hopefully"she muttered with a sniff

"Don't worry about it."

Swiftfoot padded quickly up to Rouge and dipped her head in greating to her brother. Then with him at her flank she turned right and continued on the well worn trail, back to the pack. *I shouldn't have been out* she thought as she and Rouge entered the clearing.

Sundancer turned and nodded to Swiftfoot and Rouge.

Swiftfoot nodded in reply to Sundancer

Rouge looked at Sundancer and gave a slight nod, angling himself so as to be somewhat between his sister and the rest of the wolves.
((Rouge is over protective of her cuz the rest of their litter mates died))

Sundancer smiled"where have you guys been?"

"out walking" Rouge said off-handedly in his deep voice.

Swiftfoot nodded her agreement quickly blinking her eyes a few times *What if thhey find out I went out of the pack territory?* She turned her head a little to take her gaze from Sundancer

sundancer looked at her then shifted her gaze to Rouge suspicious but shrugged"okay sounded like it was kind of fun"

Rouge nodded, "yes, quite peacful, getting some quite."

Swiftfoot yawned in mock sleeyness and wandered off to a sunny patch to warm herself and "nap".

Rouge watched his sister excuse herself, keeping a close eye on her.

Sundancer"did you guys go off pack territory?"she asked grinning

Rouge gazed down at her, his eyes like stone. "no we did a boarder check." he lied smoothly, his voice never breaking.

She smiled"hey it's none of my business but to tell you the truth"she looked around before leaning in"I've gone off pack territory too"

Rouge cocked his head looking perfectly interested and said, "we'll I'll be sure not to tell." he whispered to her, still not budgeing in his resolve.

She smiled agian"and i'll be sure not to tell on you"she laughed

Rouge chuckled, "There isn't a thing not to tell." He looked again to Swiftfoot, he knew she was only pretending to sleep.

"fine there nothing to tell"she looked at him and tilted her head"you're a great liar much better then I am"

again Rouge chuckled, "it is all in the mind" he said touching the tip of his nose to her forehead indicating what he meant.

Swiftfoot rolled over and really went to sleep.

She rolled her eyes"maybe it's all in your head"she said with a giggle

Rouge looked to his sister again, she was sleeping now, good. "possibly" he said absently

She scratched her ear agian nodding

He looked at her and blinked, "What's it like?" he asked

"whats,what like?"she asked turning blue eyes on him tilting her head

"outside the territory." he asked "whats it like?"

She looked at him"nice and open"she sighed"it feels like freedom"she nodded

He looked at Swiftfoot again then back to Sundancer, "Then why come back?" he had been so afraid when Swiftfoot left he had thought she would never return.

she smiled"I like my friends here and the leader of the pack kind of scares me"

"right." he said and nodded, he was thinking *what if you went far enough though... and just got away?*

She shrugged"I would get away then I guess but I would be alone"

"maybe." Rouge said cryptically, he knew his sister kept leaving the territory to meet up with some loners that she had discovered, she said they were her friends.

"why?"she asked

"You always hear from the other packs about the loners, did you ever think maybe they aren't so bad as they are put up to be?" he asked her casting another glance at Swiftfoot.

"Loners?"she shook her head"I don't think they're all that bad have some friends of them too"

Rouge nodded, "Some of them were born in packs too and just chose to leave, but i guess it would be bad if a bunch of us left."

she tilted her head"are you planning to leave?"

Rouge looked at her, "no." he replied honestly

She glanced at Swiftfoot"is someone planning to leave?"she asked looking back at him

Rouge shrugged thinking *I would die if she left, she is all I have to call family...*

She shrugged"hey agian none of my beeswax"she smiled
