Helping Hands discussion

Maybe we don't need to address this topic just yet but by opening the discussion we could be thinking of some things we would like to do in the upcoming year. We could start a new tradition, be an example to our children, etc.

Start thinking now. Again, this group is not just for this season. Hopefully it can encourage us to make even minor differences throughout the year.

I don't know if this would be a New Year's Resolution, or a tradition.
Every year on New Year's Eve, our family used to get together and 'give our gift to Christ'. This is basically a resolution. We would write our goal for the new year and put it away with the holiday decorations. The following year we would take out our previous year's resolution and ponder and share our experiences throughout the year. We could reflect on what our years' goal was and how we did in working toward it. It was fun to read what we had written the previous year. I have to admit, it was also easy to forget what we had written and sometimes I felt disappointed in myself.

That seems like a great tradition!
