For those of you who do celebrate Christmas no matter in what area of the world in which you live, or which denomination or religion you are, let's remember the reason for the season.

Here we can share our thoughts, feelings, and reasons why we choose to celebrate this particular holiday.

Disclaimer: I am NOT trying to promote any religion. Although coincidentally this musical was written and released by someone of my religion, I believe the overall meaning is universal. Reading of this post is purely optional

The Forgotten Carols
by Michael McLean

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUVTP6...

"McLean started musing about all of the forgotten characters in the opening chapters of the New Testament narratives of Jesus’ birth. What would the innkeeper have to say once he learned whom he had turned away? What about a fourth shepherd who didn’t make the trip to greet the newborn baby? And what did Joseph, the husband of Mary, think about the whole thing?" David Burger

Songs included in the musical:

(These are not in any sort of order)
Handel's Dream
The Innkeeper (Let Him In)
He Was Here
Mary Let Me Hold Her Baby
Joseph (I was not his father)
I Cannot Find My Way
Mary's Lullaby to Jesus
Homeless
I Cried the Day That I Took the Tree Down

Robin (goodreadscomtriviagoddessl) I have often wondered along the same lines. if the innkeeper had known who he turned down, on second thought would he have turned them away.

Well, even though this folder is not necessarily for any specific holiday or reason for kindness and charity, it is that time of year again.

I want to reclaim my very first post...the reason of the season may not be a 'season' at all for those of you who do not believe as a Christian or any sort of deity. But I believe there doesn't have to be a reason to show kindness.

Can we share our plans for December? I won't call it 'Christmas' per se, just the month of December.

I know I've brought it up before about sending and commending our military who are far from home during this time.

My sister-in-law's company is collecting stockings to send to the troops. I don't have much money at this time, but with the financial help of my now ex-husband, we put together one stocking. It was fun and very satisfying.
