It's also a month to catch up on books you may have picked for our previous discuss..."I absolutely loved Me...Jane. The illustrations and text fit so well together. Enjoy.
I loved, loved, loved Me...Jane! I also really liked Jenette Winter's The Watcher, also about Jane Goodall. In some ways, I liked Winter's plot a bit better because she tells about how Goodall became a scientist and activist. I would love to see Patrick McDonnell win an award for his fabulous book.On my list of things to read: How the Dinosaur Got to the Museum, Kathleen Krull's Jim Henson book, and The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. I'm sure there will be more!

The pictures were so nice but I would have liked there to be more information about Jane, but I'm a huge Jane Goodall fan.
I enjoyed Me...Jane. I need to read The Watcher now at work to compare the two of them.
I've read a few off my list so far--Hope, the Joe Lewis book by Matt de La Pena as well as Heart and Should.
Hoping to get to some more as well. How is everyone else doing?

I want to get to the Joe Lewis book and Jim Henson. I want to read a new Golden Frog book that just came in Jr. Library Guild too.
Just finished Amelia Lost: The Life and Disappearance of Amelia Earhart and really loved it. I enjoyed seeing the good and the bad. It was a more well-rounded picture of her than I had in the past.Read Who Has What?: All About Girls' Bodies and Boys' Bodies and Robie Harris has once again dealt with our bodies is a tasteful and very informative way for young ones.
Amelia Lost just came into the library for me. I also have Just a Second by Steve Jenkins to look over.
I just finished Amelia Lost a couple days ago. Loved it. Love Steve Jenkins as well. Need to find his newest ones.
Did anybody else read books by Jim Arnosky? I got one called Thunderbirds that the kids really love about predatory birds and I picked up on yesterday called Slither and Crawl about reptiles. Really love the art work and the level of detail he engages.
I've paired his Rattlesnake Dance with All About Rattlesnakes in the past - but that was a long time ago. I remember the kids enjoyed them.
