The day Alexi got the letter from them the sun shone brighter than ever. Alexi's breath was coming in short gasps. The wind was blowing her long reddish brown hair behind her. Alexi's real name was Alexandra but she went by Alexi. Starting fifteen years ago everyone born had to have the letter a as the first letter of their name and i for the last letter. Thats why Alexi went by Alexi. She pulled her hair behind her ear.
"I hope I don't miss the bus like yesterday and the whole year," Alexi thought.
Luckily she was a little closer to the yellow color of the bus.She closed her eyes using her ears to guide her. Alexi was far from the bus she knew she couldn't make it. She had her eyes closed only for a second but when she opened her eyes she was at the bus stop and the bus was coming around the corner.
"Wow I'm fast," Alexi thought.
The bus screeched as it stopped. Slowly the door lurched open. Alexi stepped carefully up to the bus driver.
"I didn't see you yesterday morning," the bus driver named Mrs. Zerdi said.
"I missed the bus again Mrs. Zerd," Alexi said quietly.
"This is the first day you didn't miss the bus in the morning and its Mrs. Zerdi you forgot the i," Mrs. Zerdi said pointing to a sign that read Mrs. Zerdi.
