Just bought Nocturnes by Kazuo Ishiguro. Also ordered about 13 books online but they won't be here for a few weeks.
I purchased 4 books. 3 by the same writer, Darren Shan, the 3 first books of the story of the vampire Larten Crepsley. Can't wait. I also purchased a CSI book, by Greg Cox.
Decided not to buy anything until after Christmas and then, almost immediately, went and bought The Appointment by Herta Müller. :/
Making up for all the books I DIDN'T buy in November . . .
The Prague Cemetery
The Hare with Amber Eyes: A Family's Century of Art and Loss
The Family Fang
Swamplandia!
The Map of Time
Little Hands Clapping
Zone One

Just one so far....
I am trying to curb my book buying this month just in case someone buys me one for Christmas that I already bought myself.
Well its still a ways until December is done but I am thinking of buying the entire Southern Vampire Chronicles available on ebook format for my Nook Tablet.

That's good to know. My plan is to read it sooner rather than later.

I can't share specifics. All my book purchases this month are Christmas gifts, even the ones for myself.
Amazon got me again, their cyber monday week and black friday week really killed my book buying budget this month lol. Well I am counting them as this month because that's when I got them in the mail.

And these will be here later this month
,
1Q84, Ready Player One, 11/23/63, the Steve Jobs biography, Shades of Gray, Clockwork Prince, The Scottish Prisoner, Anna Dressed in Blood and The Space Between. Oh, and also Legend. I'm new to the group, but I have a feeling I belong here.
:)
My one and only purchase for December. It's ok because I got it off the clearence rack from Half Price Books
I just ordered this
- has anyone actually seen the illustrated version? It sounded too nice to pass up :-)
Bought
and
for my Kindle as well as downloaded some free classics. Trying to stay away from print books because I might be getting giftcards or book money soon.
I exercised some serious restraint today. I got a walmart giftcard as an early Christmas preasent but I only bought one book while I was there, because as I told myself I need new music more than I need new books. (My ipod is in desperate need of new music; I have been listening to the same songs for far to long.) No doubt I will receive some giftcards for Christmas too, so I need to keep purchases to a minimum. I hope that is possible!
Arguably This is the only book I bought myself. I did pick up this Unbelievable for a friend. No books for me till next year.
Dragons of Autumn Twilight. This is sort of a gift and a personal buy as well. This next year I want to start reading the Dragonlance series, and my husband has them all (or most of them!) But his copy of this one was FALLING APART! I have tried to read it twice and each time had to put it down, simply because I cannot read a book that has pages falling out of it! And the cover is barely hanging on! (The thing is like 2o years old!) lol...So I got it to replace the old copy and so I could enjoy reading "A new" book. I also got The Hunger Games for my Kindle! I got a few freebies for the kindle too, but I won't list them here.
For gifts, I got Alison McGhee's Always
,Lane Smith's It's a book
, Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat
and John Grisham's Theodore Boone Kid lawyer
. And for myself, I bought Diana Gabaldon's The Scottish Prisoner
Got sucked in by the B&N bargain books again! I am putting myself on a book buying ban until I make more room on my shelves lol.
