Steven Santos (stevendossantos) | 15 comments Please forgive me if this isn't posted in the right place. Just wanted to share some exciting news! Even though my debut Post-Apocalyptic Young Adult novel sold this past June, it's finally been announced in Publishers Marketplace!

It doesn't allow me to link directly, but here's the text of the Publisher's Marketplace announcement, which appeared in the "Deal" section on November 28:

"Steven dos Santos's THE TORCH KEEPER, about a young man's harrowing struggle to save his younger brother by surviving a sadistic military recruitment -- and facing the horrifying fate that awaits not only each recruit, but their loved ones, to Brian Farrey at Flux, in a two-book deal, for publication in Winter 2013, by Ginger Knowlton at Curtis Brown."

I look forward to sharing more news with all of you and hearing about your own projects.

Thanks!

Steven Santos (stevendossantos) | 15 comments Hot off the presses! Just added another 1,000 words to my TORCH KEEPER sequel manuscript. That brings the total to 44,204 words and 168 pages. At this rate, I should meet my next goal of reaching page 200 very soon :-)

Awesome! Congrats. I really respect anyone who writes a book, because I've been dabbling with that and it is NOT easy. I get writer's block like, every ten seconds. Good luck with your series Steven!

Steven Santos (stevendossantos) | 15 comments Thanks so much, Bethany! I really appreciate it! I'm knee deep in writing the sequel right now and I can relate to the whole writer's block thing. Sometimes, it's like pulling teeth!

Steven Santos (stevendossantos) | 15 comments Tomorrow I go on my very first author visit to Palmetto High School in Miami! It'll be great connecting with my potential audience. Very excited and nervous. Wish me luck! :-)

Steven Santos (stevendossantos) | 15 comments My first author visit to Miami Palmetto Senior High School's Writer's Cafe was a resounding success! What a terrific group of students! Not only were they so welcoming, but they asked such intelligent questions. I'm sure we'll be reading a lot of great stories by these teens some day soon. It was my first time being asked to sign autographs, and I was actually asked to sign someone's Kindle and someone else's shirt! I feel like a rock star ;-)It was a pleasure connecting with such brilliant minds!

Steven Santos (stevendossantos) | 15 comments Special Alert! As the search for Author Steven dos Santos continues (last seen fleeing the oppression of The Establishment), this interview with the main person of interest in THE TORCH KEEPER has surfaced!

Bethany Awesome! I'm glad it went so well at the school. That would be so weird to have people want you to sign their kindles, haha. How exciting. Keep up the good work and hopefully your book gets lots of attention ;)
