Under the Mercy Trees discussion

What would you say is the best book you've read in 2011? Heather Newton's Under the Mercy Trees would be in my top three, along with South of Broad (Pat Conroy) and Crooked Letter Crooked Letter(Tom Franklin). So tell me, what was your favorite book (or two or three) this year?

I really liked this book and it would be up there. However, Paul Mann's "Fog" is the best. It's BDSM
(which I usually never read) told in beautiful romantic, poetic prose. I have re-read the book 5 times.

I thought this book was mediocre, nothing to brag about. I love that you selected "South of Broad", that is my favorite book of all time. So far the best book I read this year was "They did it with love."-Kate Morganworth.
