message 2: by Rowan (last edited Nov 05, 2008 10:35AM) (new)

Rowan (rowanintheskywithdiamonds) | 53 comments I'm sooooo happy. (And it's nothing to do with his views on abortion, I don't know what they are, tbh.)

History has been made, I'm in the UK and people are having victory parties despite not even being American. xD (And here, pretty much the entire country is for Obama.)

SO HAPPY, YAYYYYY. I was up until 5:30am GMT waiting for the result...It was sooooo worth it.

Bring on the change the US and the world so desperately needs!

message 3: by Eric▲ (new)

Eric▲ | 108 comments his view is that murder should be legal!
why?
because some people get so angry at kids that never did anything that they just want to kill them.

this is an OBAMAnation
dose anyone realize that it JUST HAPPENS to be like "obama nation" and "obamanation"???????????????????
THAT IS A SHOCKING "COINCIDENCE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

conclusion? IT ISN'T A COINCIDENCE!

message 4: by Rowan (new)

Rowan (rowanintheskywithdiamonds) | 53 comments Well, abortion is already legal and it was always going to stay that way.

And of course it's a conincidence. How does anything otherwise make sense?

YAY OBAMA. I had a badge on yesterday at school with a pic of him on it that our politics teacher gave all our class that said on it "The man 24 hours away from changing the world. Obama '08."

Twas awesome.

message 5: by Rowan (new)

Rowan (rowanintheskywithdiamonds) | 53 comments And for the record, abortion is nothing to do with anyone being angry at unborn babies.

message 6: by Eric▲ (new)

Eric▲ | 108 comments well why do they kill them?

message 7: by Rowan (new)

Rowan (rowanintheskywithdiamonds) | 53 comments Because the pregnancy is too risky. Because the circumstances just aren't right for a baby in that family, and it would be more cruel to bring them into this messed up world. Because the woman is not emotionally ready to go through pregnancy or have a baby. Because the baby has a serious illness or disabilty and it would be more inhumane to let them live.

And about a millon other reasons.

message 8: by Eric▲ (new)

Eric▲ | 108 comments ah, so because she changed her mind about having a baby.

"oh i want a baby" she says

1 week later

"oh i don't want a baby any more. lets kill it!" she says

THAT MAKES NO SENSE!

message 9: by Rowan (new)

Rowan (rowanintheskywithdiamonds) | 53 comments Erm, often a woman dosen't intend to have a baby...

And then, there are health reasons, etc. So yeah...

message 10: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 48 comments if you don't want a baby, don't have sex

that's all i have to say on that

and about obama

i knew it was going to be like this the moment hillary lost

no surprise

just dissapointment

message 11: by Rowan (new)

Rowan (rowanintheskywithdiamonds) | 53 comments Sorry, the abstience-only argument is pointless to me.

There's a reason there's an age of consent, and it isn't anything to do with producing babies. Hence the creation of things like condoms etc.

message 12: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 48 comments oh well

i guess i wouldn't know since ive never done it

but it seems exaggerated to me...

message 13: by Rowan (new)

Rowan (rowanintheskywithdiamonds) | 53 comments Sex is not as half good for the female as it is for the male, tbh.

i won't say anything. you probably won't care about my response any way, so why should i bother saying something you're going to ignore?

Felicity/Rosestar (felicity) | 53 comments Mod
Well, I'm pretty sad to see Obama as a president. And history is not even entirely made. He's half white! I don't like his views, his friends, or that freakish mole on his face! I mean he'd be a great guy if he removed all of that from his life!

message 16: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 48 comments we just got our first MIXED president

if you ask me, we're only half way to black presidents

i don't care about race and terrorist friends and stupid crap like that the people make up

i just don't like his views on taxes and im not very confident with him and the economy.

but we've had enough trouble in america so im just praying that he doesn't screw up

message 17: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 48 comments yes amen

♪♪♪☺☻♥♥☺☻Lola♪♪♪☺☻♥ | 25 comments Some ppl just voted 4 him because "he's black,it's going to make history"
and like a few of u said, he's only HALF black! Well, if McCain won, it would have been history too, with Palin as being a woman. All we have to do now, is pray!

message 19: by Margaret (new)

Margaret | 22 comments yes indeed. 95% of the black vote was his. That's sadly racist. I just think to myself "McCain would have had it in the bag if he was young and black."

message 20: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 48 comments he probably would've

message 21: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 48 comments well the rest of the country hated bush and he had nothing to do with them either (im pretty sure)

message 22: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 10 comments Obama is entirely a scary thought for this country. It's so sad that the media is now bringing up things about him that they wouldn't reveal before elections.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Personally, I like Obama. I believe he will make very great changes to the country. John McCain probably would have done the same. I hate it when people call Obama a terrorist and some have said America, in the future, would be called "Obamamerica". WTF is that all about???? Just because he's black, he's a terrorist, that is messed up and rascist!!!!

message 24: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 48 comments what i think is funny is that some people think that our government (a group of white people pretty much) is trying to destroy this country (9/11)

and when obama comes, no one hesitates and everyone trusts him

seriously people, i know im being racist but i still think it's weird

message 25: by Annie/Soul (new)

Annie/Soul I am happy that Obama is our new president but I am NOT rubbing it in. I hope I don't offend anyone when I say, I am happy there are kids in the white house! *cheers*

Did you know that after the ceromony and everything, you can here Sasha's little voice in the backround squealing, "Your officially the president Daddy!" It was SOOOOOOOO cute!

message 26: by Diana (new)

Diana (higura_natume) | 48 comments i feel sorry for the kids

they're getting (literally) stalked

Felicity/Rosestar (felicity) | 53 comments Mod
Ok, I just want to make Obama think about this:

A sonogram lets the mommy see her future baby. If she saw it, she would understand that her baby isn't just tissue. It's a human being!

So, would Obama go against a mommy meeting her baby just before or not? If he says all abortions are legal and have to be done everywhere, he better show the other side.

message 28: by John (new)

John (jayrindone1412gmailcom) ya. if his mom aborted him he wouldnt be the first black pres......think about that mr.obama

message 29: by Oceanwaves (new)

Oceanwaves (oceanwavesheartsoul) | 6 comments Like Annie said, I'm happy for Obama, but I'm totally against abortion.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Reasons I'm against Obama:

1. He is pro-abortion for any reason
2. He is making our economy and making it worse. He took Bush's stupid bailout plan and multiplied it by three hundred.
3. He has used these bailouts to begin controling the motor companies and given most of the control to the unions. The unions are the workers who are now also the owners (a communistic idea, by the way), the government controls the owners. Therefore the government controls the workers. A blend of all three economic systems (capitalism, socialism, and communism) that he failed to mention during his run and did without the consent of the American people and rushed through Congress until the guise of an emergancy.
4. These ridiculous bailouts have put my children and grandchildren in debt from the moment they are born about $20,000 to a government we can't seem to trust to do what we the People wasnt.
5. He and Barney Frank intend to cut the military budget by a full quarter ... in the middle of a war and while diplomatic ties in Asia are shakey. Right. Either he is going to cut armor, weapons, planes, and tanks and our men are going to die more (so far we've had minimal fatalies in this war compared to any other war but that won't last long) or the pay will be cut so that they'll be putting themselves at risk and have their families paid even less. Or both so that they die more often and their families are given less.

But now he is our president so now we can only pick up the pieces after he's gone. If we are still here and Al Qaeda hasn't torn apart us and our economy further.

message 31: by Madeline (new)

Madeline (madelinemoghimi) Obama wasnt born in America he can't legally be the president!!!!!!!!!

message 32: by Etshadow (new)

Etshadow | 59 comments Obama was born in Hawaii. At that time it was an American territory just like Porto Rico and Guam. That makes it lagit. I am not an Obama supporter but I think we need to move past the things that cannot help our cause. There is question on weather the new health care bill is leagelly constitutional.

message 33: by Sephiroth (new)

Sephiroth (Cinderbolt) | 132 comments I don't like Obama either. Anyone who thinks that abortion should be legal is awful. I don't care if this offends Obama lovers. ABORTION IS THE LEGALIZED MURDER OF UNBORN BABIES.

message 34: by Sephiroth (new)

Sephiroth (Cinderbolt) | 132 comments ...and now look where Obama's gotten us. He can't even command BP (who are in AMERICAN waters) to fix the oil leak. What's he doing? NOTHING!

message 35: by Sephiroth (new)

Sephiroth (Cinderbolt) | 132 comments One of my teachers told me about an experiment done with EnergyStar. These people made up 12 fake appliances and submitted them to EnergyStar for a rating...i think it was...six?...that got an energyStar rating. Sad, hunh?

message 37: by Kate (new)

Kate R (katetheshortone) No Obama Rowan no offense but you don't even live in America if you did you would hate Obama right now. Check out the oil spill crisis no help from Washington.

Hey Caroline, you still get on? How do you like Obama now that he's destroying the country I love?

☼☺Caylpso☼☺ (oceangirl300) I can't belive it . I also can't belive that he's is allowing abrotion cause he thinks that " Women have rights" But really its not ture if they make that choice they are mudering a inacent adorable baby .But you know if they have to die its because god decide they only needed a body and they'll be the ones to make it to the second life.

message 40: by Sephiroth (new)

Sephiroth (Cinderbolt) | 132 comments Does anyone know why Obama doesn't do much to FORCE BP to step up the cleaning effort? Because BP was one of Obama's supporters in the presidential race. Obama IS destroying America.

HE DIDN'T EVEN LAY THE WREATH AT ARLINGTON!!!! Just how low can this guy GO!? Sending VP Biden to lay the wreath because Obama's on VACATION is so LOW!!! Only TWO other presidents have EVER missed the laying of the wreath at Arlington-AND BOTH OF THEM HAD VALID REASONS!! NOT vacation reasons!

Sorry for the rant...

Kate R (katetheshortone) I am a conservative. :) :) :) :)

message 46: by Sephiroth (new)

Sephiroth (Cinderbolt) | 132 comments I'm so neutral it's not even funny. I can see both sides of an issue fairly evenly but abortions aren't like that, I'm vehemently against murder.

message 47: by Kate (new)

Kate R (katetheshortone) Okay I can't see how anyone can be neutral but that's you.

message 48: by Sephiroth (new)

Sephiroth (Cinderbolt) | 132 comments Being neutral is actually rather easy. You just have to have a very open mind and be able to see an issue from both sides; neutrals make good mediators.

message 49: by Kate (new)

Kate R (katetheshortone) Actually it isn't easy like they both can have different views that you agree with and easy to get caught up in politics.

message 50: by Sephiroth (new)

Sephiroth (Cinderbolt) | 132 comments Not for me. I could care less about politics except where Obama is concerned and he should no longer be president at this point.
