This is a great book. Instant classic I say! The two sequels are just as good, and there are supposed to be more coming!

This book is really good. The second and third books are also really good.
I love this book. I don't think the second one is as good because it does not have Jeffery in it as much.
Why are people comparing this book to A Series of Unfortunate Events? I don't understand this. Also, I don't understand the people who don't like the book and then give bad reviews. If you don't like these kinds of books, then don't read them!

I like the first book very much, but I'm wondering what age reader this is mainly finding favor with. I teach fourth grade and I don't like to purchase books for the classroom that turn out to be unpopular. I'm wondering if my liking it is just a reflection of old fashioned thinking. Are there contemporary middle grade (4th - 6th) students recommending this?
