I am Number Four!!! OMG The Rise of Nine?!? Really? When??

I'm picking out a series at random, but Maximum Ride, by James Patterson. The series is just dragging now, and has been since all books after the third.
And totally Harry Potter over Twilight :)

I honestly like the Twilight series, but the movies ruined the whole thing. My fave was Eclipse and the 2nd part of Breaking Dawn. Though I loved Harry Potter.

Im a hater of twilight and proud. All haters say AYE! The night world series is currently my fav. Awesomely awesome :D!

I don't like Twilight...I just hated it, I've read the books and seen the movies. Though, admittedly, what really did ruin the entire thing was the movies.

Favorite series right now? Harry Potter, definitely...but my favorites always vary depending on what I'm reading.

Ugh, Twilight is such a conversation killer.

ANYWAYS, off the series, I see that one of Sable's fav books is Just Listen, personally I love Sarah Dessen but my fav of hers is Along for the Ride. Any thoughts?

I've read them both, I think they're the only books by Sarah Dessen that I have read. Personally, I liked Just Listen more...but that could be cause I'm obsessed with music.
Anyways, I thought they were both great :D

My fav series would be the Vampire Academy. It's so coool!

I adored Vampire Academy when I read it!
Bloodlinesis out, I haven't read it yet however.

IKR! Bloodlines is out and I've got it(ebook) but still I can't read it! (*sulk*)

The first three Maximum Ride books were my absolute faves in middle school. I keep reading all the new ones just to mourn the squandered potential the series once had.

My favorite Sarah Dessens are The Truth About Forever and This Lullaby. One of my favorite things about her as an author is that all her books are wonderful, but there's no conclusive favorite. Everyone sees something different in each of them. :)

My most recent favorite series is The Wolves of Mercy Falls, by Maggie Stiefvater. She just has such beautiful writing. Any takers?

I like The Wolves of Mercy Falls, I haven't gotten the 3rd book (people keep taking it before I get to the librrary -.-) so I've only gotten to the 2nd book, it was recommended by someone who I normally wouldn't of checked out a book for but I was suprised (twice in fact) because this is the 2nd time this person has come through with goods books (good figure.) so ya I like it!

I'm angry at the Hunger Games writer though (have been for a while but now I'm going to vent) The last book was TERRIBLE! Downright B.A.D! I'm sorry but I was SO disapointed with it I wish I would have stopped at the first book because the 2nd was also a dissapointment. I loved this series but for me it just got worse! And I also hate how she didn't pick Peta. Like, he's the best -.- And what's-his-name is just a jealous neighbor boy.

Yeah. the Mockingjay was all politics and mental hospital with no action!!

I think i'm the only person who just doesn't like Sarah Dessen books! At first,I really liked them but in my opinion each one of her books is the same. There's always this girl with some kind of issue and she meets a boy and suddenly life is much better. My favorite one of her books would be probably be Just Listen.

I know! They got all environmentally friendly and it all spiralled down from there. I have actually read them all, I need to stop because they're not getting better at all :/

Ahhhhhhh you have to get Forever! I absolutely loved it. I know some people didn't like the ending, but when I gave it some thought, it was perfect. And I still somewhat liked Mockingjay, but I was seriously disappointed on many levels. Especially one particular one involving Finnick Odair, who remains my favorite character. (Sigh, I actually liked Katniss/Gale... I'm pretty much the only one though.)

Yeah she did pick peeta like 'ooh! I don't need Gale to survive, I need Peeta!!' *puke*

I didn't like that Katniss went with Peeta.
Mockingjay was average for me, it just seemed like the author all of a sudden wanted Gale to be a bad guy. Nooooooo :(

I agree but I'm happy she went with Peeta..

The only team Edward for me is Edward Scissorhands, so no problem there...

Harry Potter over Twilight by far.
I have to read Mockingjay, then I will be done with that series. I might read Crossed next (Matched #2) or start The Wolves of Mercey Falls series or start the Uglies series.

I know everyone is talking about fairly new series but one that I just read (but I think is has been out for a while) is the "Artemis Fowl" series. Rally great with funny charters. It is mostly for younger reader between 11-16, but I really loved them. The first book was light and a little easy on really getting to know the charters but the others got a lot better. It was a nice change from all the drama and seriousness of the newer ones. (Even though I love Harry Potter :D)

Awww, I loved the Artemis Fowl series back in middle school. :) I still have the first three. Never read further than the fourth book, though.

Why not read past the fourth? Personally I liked the 3rd, 4th, and 5th the best. Granted the 6th gets a little confusing and with the 7th I think he starts reaching trying to bring the series to a hopeful, if not exactly happy ending, but I thought they were pretty good.

Ahhh I love Artemis Fowl. I don't think I read the most recent book though. I need to get on that.

And I'm currently going through the Study series by Maria V. Snyder, I'm on Fire Study, I really love it so far :)

I'm going to start Study series soon too!

I'm pretty sure I own the fifth, but I guess life got busy while I was reading it and I never finished. But since the rest of the series comes so highly recommended, I guess I'll have to finish it now. :)

Books that are good and are in a series that...are good. I just repeated myself.

i've read them besides the newest one. I got kind of sick of reading it

they sort of drag out a bit but i prefer that than having the author rush the series and end up with a crappy ending. Plus the series is almost over so i might as well finish it
