Well... First I read The Harry Potter series... Then the Twilght series... I love them both and I cant decide wich is best. I love the supernatural romance in Twilight. But unlike in most books I love all the adventure in Harry Potter... So.. I say don't compare the two! They are completely different and great!
@Willis, hm, that's very true. I also don't think that people should compare them, I suppose that they are two very different genres.
Though I more approve of the strong female roles played in HP rather than Twilight, as shown in some of the pics of this group.

I read the Twilight series during a vamp phase and LOVED IT- but when I reflected on it, I realised it wasn't as fantastic as I'd first thought...I basically got caught up in all the Twi-hype. That's not to say that I didn't ENJOY the books--I just wasn't as AWED as much by them anymore. Still, I can see the appeal in them for teen girls (who WOULDN'T want two gorgeous, supernatural guys fighting over them?!)And, as for Harry Potter...well, I can't comment because I haven't read any of them...cue shocked gasps
I know, right?
Which book-fan hasn't read THEM?
I guess I'm not as dedicated to literature as I like to delude myself into believing..
:)
Oh, you mean THIS guy?*drool*
:)
He looks just fine to me
*glares at Taylor Lautner*
Jacob-your abs are not needed. Go away and let me fawn over this bad rude man in private!
(Then again, if Robert Pattinson wasn't so beautiful, I might fancy me a bit of the furball too
:)

Alodnza- I bet the same thing has happened to 90% of the Twihards out there, it's just that they haven't gotten out of that phase yet...and I've got a feeling most of them never will...Kitty-YOU MET SPIKE?!?!?!?!
whowhatwherewhenwhyHOW?!?!?!?!
*hyperventilates*
I cannot even begin to imagine how I would react if I SAW him in real life, never mind actually MEETING him!
btw, *glances around furtively*
you didn't, uh, grab hold of his number by any chance, did you?
*smiles hopefully*
:)
It's okay..*sighs with regret*I'm (clears throat) not THAT bothered anyway
*eyes butcher knife*
:D
But seriously, my suicide contemplation aside, YOU ONLY SHOOK HIS HAND?!?!
Kitty, what is WRONG with you?! What justification do you have for your prim and proper behaviour, young lady? WHY DIDN'T YOU POUNCE ON HIM?!
That might've been your ONLY chance of ever meeting such a hunk, and you SHAKE HIS HAND??? Do you not realise how precious an oppurtunity that was to get all intimate with a REAL man? Why'd you have to be so conservative? You should've gone WILD! Though that may admittedly have gotten you kicked out and escorted off the premises by some beefed-up security guards, but hey! It would've been SO worth it, right? And your confidence (desperation) and forwardness may have made Spike notice you from all the other drooling girls, and some soppy teenage romance story could have developed from there-though I admit that this scenario would be pretty unlikely :) It's more likely that he would think you were on some pretty strong dopey drugs..
*takes deep breath*
Okay, now my incredulity is finally out of the way...I AM SO JEALOUS!!! WowowowowoWOW!
I live in England, so I rarely have the chance to meet hunks like Spike- you have no idea how jealous I am feeling right now..
*eyes butcher knife again*
...
Don't worry, Kitty-to be honest, I'm kinda happy you didn't pounce on him..that would make me like a THOUSAND times more jealous...and looking back on my last comment, I only just realised how depraved and madman-like I sounded *clears throat with embarrassment*
o-kay,..... I'm such an awkward person. tee-hee.
BUT thanks Aprille for adding a thread to allow me to unleash all my inner Spike angst--you don't know what you're letting yourself in for...
*clicks on Spike topic*
:)
