There is sure to be Linda--I think there has been some discussion on how to set up the chats for it, but the challenge itself will be pretty much the same as this years. At least, that's what was being discussed.

Sadly though, I don't think I will be around next year. I have a lot of groups I'm in and I need to cut down on some. I'll miss you all.
my goal for 2012 is to read 50 book.
My 2012 goal will be 200 again. That is just about the right amount for me. I find that if I try to get more in, I just don't enjoy them as much.
I think I will go for 75 this coming year. Last year I barely hit 35. This year I am hitting about 60. So next year I am upping the anti a little.
This year I set my goal at 125 then upped it to 150 and upped it again to 170. I am going to set my challenge at 200 for 2012.
For 2011 my goal was set at 50 but I will just make it to 40 but for 2012 I'm still going to set my goal at 50. I'm determined to make it to 50 this year.
Woo Hoo! I have a lot of thick books I want to read as well as smaller books. My goal for 2011 is/was 75 books. For 2012, I'm going to start with 20 (10 of those over 400 pages each) and then up it from there. Happy Reading everyone!
Hi everyone! It's nice to meet you all. I'm also new to this group and I can't wait to start the challenge. My goal for 2012 is 200 books. I hope I'll be able to finish it.
My goal is 400 books. So far this year, I've read 425 books. I'm not going to increase my 2012 goal, though.
My goal is 50 books again this year, with my life that seems to be a doable for me. I also really want to review these books, something I didn't do for all of the books I read this past year.
My goal for 2012 is to read 125 books! It's a really high number for me, but I'm hoping I'll make it! :)http://christianbookshelfreviews.blog...
My goal for 2012 is 200 books. This is fewer than what I read in 2011 but I plan on reading lots of technical books - and I never read those cover to cover so they won't count.
Didn't even make 100 this year even though my goal was 150. I am again shooting for 150. New year, new ambitions.
Sedtting my goal for 250. last year my goal was 200 and I exceeded that. I didn't read in jan or feb and slowed down in Dec. so I should make it and then some.
That's amazing Denise. Last year my goal was 175 and I made it with a couple to spare. I will have to stay on top of it this year.
hi everyone, i'm new and this is my first time for this, so i said i'd read 30 books by the end of the year...woohoo! go me loli'm still looking around and figuring out what i'm supposed to do next....
just saying hi,
drake
hi Drake - welcome to the group - throw up your tracking thread in the 50's club and have fun ;)
Hi!I'm a new member and my goal for this year is 50 books. I love readind, i read in my spare time but i never counted how many books i read per year so i hope i'll make it. I am happy to join this club especially because i've looked for something like this a couple of years:)
Hi Ana,Welcome! You will love this site - it is so nice to find others who love reading as much as we do!
Hi! I am a new member and my goal for the year is 150 books. Being a retired English teacher, I do not think I could live without books. I am really excited about finding a book club like this one. It is great to have fellow book lovers with whom we share our thoughts about books.
Hi - I am new to this book group and looking forward to meeting all of you and discussing books.I have been an avid reader all of my life. I am an only child and think books were my siblinbgs when I was younger and a great educator and comfort in my older years. I began keeping a list of every book I read since I was 9 years old. I will be a young 65 in May so you can imagine how long this list is now. Very often I look back at these titles and remember where I was or what I was doing when I read that book.
If you don't do this now, it's never too late to begin.
2011 was a record breaking year. I read more books than any other year- 140 books. Not sure if I can do this again so I set my goal at 125. So far I've read 48 books.
I am an avid reader and growing up, I would easily read 5 or more books in a week, but now that I am an adult with a very demanding job--English teacher and Drama teacher--I do not get to read nearly as much. I set my goal at 50, but this may be too low. However, I am looking forward to those readathons because I will need to play catch up. When I have essays to grade, which is ALL the time, and after school play rehearsals for the shows I direct, I can not read as much. SO then I play catch-up and read a ton in weeks I don't have as many papers to grade. Hopefully, those read-a-thons correspond to weeks I have more time. I am not really sure how they will work, but I hope I can figure it out!
Nancy wrote: "Not sure if I can do this again so I set my goal at 125. So far I've read 48 books"I would give anything to be able to say that. This week is Aims week at my school, so I don't have essays to grade or play rehearsals, and I am on book 4 for the week, and the week just started. But the rest of the time, it takes me a month to finish 1 measly book because I have so many papers to grade.
However, your post inspired me, I can play catch up in the summer, so I should raise my goal.
Recently, someone asked me what I wish I could be able to do. My response: "Read every single book on my to-read list (345 books)." On goodreads, I only have 82 on my to-read list, but on my excel spreadsheet, I have 345. I would LOVE to do that, and that start creating another to-read list. AHHHH so so many good books so little time.
Ok, back to reading Delirium by Lauren Oliver. So far, I am loving it!
Hi! I'm new here. I've been slacking off the past four months, so I'm challenging myself to 50 books from now through end of the year. I've finished 4 so far, reading 6 more. Looking forward to this!
