7. Love You Like A Love Song – Read a book whose cover displays your interpretation of love
8. Sweet Treats – Read a book with something sweet and yummy on the cover
9. Nature-ally - Read a book that has something on the cover that grows naturally in nature, such as grass, trees, wildflowers, etc.
10.Reflections – Read a book with cover art that mirrors who you are. This is your interpretation, it could be a character that looks like you, it could be a depiction of your paradise world or if you’re a shoe lover, like myself, it could be a picture of a shoe or shoes

2. What Would You Rather Be Doing? – This is like those bumper stickers you see, “I’d rather be fishing,” “I’d rather be golfing,” etc. Read a book whose cover shows something you’d rather be doing instead of going to work
3. What is it? – Read a book whose cover art makes it look like it could be something else. The picture is only of one object, not necessarily the whole thing, but it looks like the book could be part of something else. Like the Secrets of my Hollywood Life books, most of those look like they are part of a binder or a purse
4. It’s a Numbers Game – Read a book with a number on the cover
5. Stop and Stare – Read a book with a picture of something on the cover that if you saw it in real life, it would cause you to stop and stare
6. What’s it Worth? – Read a book with a picture of expensive jewelry or gemstones on the cover
7. Ego-maniac – Read a book where the size of the author’s name is larger than the size of the title
8. Dually – Read a book whose cover is split into two colors (there can be other pictures on there, but the background is basically two different, solid colors)
9. Buttons – Read a book whose cover has a picture of a button on it, can be any kind of button – an elevator push button, the buttons of a phone, a button on a shirt, etc.
10. Don’t Judge a Book By its Cover – Read a book whose cover looks boring once you take away the title

Anyway, here are the rules:
YOU MUST POST YOUR TASK LIST!
1. The challenge runs from January 1 – March 31, 2012
2. Anyone may join in at any time, and count any books read between January 1 and March 31. All participants must post their book list in this thread.
3. Books do not have to be specifically from Red Dress Ink.
4. You may only complete each task ONCE. Likewise, books may only count for ONE task.
5. To post points: Post the point value and number of the task you completed, as well as the book you read for the task. It also helps (me) to post your total points as well.
6. For multiple-book tasks: Books do not need to be read back-to-back, or in any specific order, but you must have read ALL the books for a task in order to be awarded points for it (no "half points").
7. Audiobooks and e-books are acceptable to use for challenges, as long as they are the complete and unabridged versions.
8. Books started before January 1 may count for any task in the challenge, as long as you are no more than halfway through the book as of January 1.
9. You may change the books on your list at any time however; changing books for tasks already completed is NOT permitted.
10. Re-reads of books are okay, unless the task specifically says otherwise.
11. The first person to complete every task in the challenge is the winner. If no one completes every task in the challenge, then the people with the top 3 scores will be declared the winners.
12. Prizes for the top 3 finishers:
First Place – A $10 Amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com gift certificate
Second Place – Two credits from either BookMooch or Paperbackswap (your choice)
Third Place – A book
***Special rule for the cover challenge – YOU MUST POST YOUR COVERS WITH YOUR TASK LIST!!! To do this, click on add book/author; search for your book and click on the cover button at the bottom (not the book one) of the list, then click add. Each time you do this, it will automatically add your book cover at the bottom of your post. You can leave them there, or highlight and move to where ever you want in your list.
