I'm curious what you guys think people will say after the rapture happens, since of course the idea of God coming back for the believers like He said He would couldn't possibly be it (heavy sarcasm here).

I just overheard (completely by accident) a conversation while at the bookstore about the possibility that aliens created humans "in test tubes" "as part of their genetic experimentation" and that humans simply interpreted that as God.
At first, I was sitting here thinking "Seriously?!?! Can people really think this?" and trying not to look at them like I thought they might be on crack. But then I got to thinking how absolutely PERFECT it was for the setting of the rapture. How easy it will be for Satan to convince people that aliens, indeed, came and abducted people. Of course the fact that every single raptured person would have their faith in God in common, is of no consequence.(again with the sarcasm)

I was just wondering if anyone had ideas about what people would say once millions of people just disappear. It will be too huge to just be ignored, so there will have to be explanations. Or does everyone just think they'll all say aliens?

Rapture? Are you talking about the new planet Goldilocks??

As in the Rapture of the Church talked about in the New Testament. You know, the next big event to take place on God's calendar...

1 Thess. 4:16-17
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

"caught up" = rapture
