Emily (emilyfgibbons) Welcome! Please feel free to share who you are, what you do, and what you enjoy.

Emily (emilyfgibbons) I'll start :) I'm Emily and I work at CCPL. If I'm not at the library, I am enjoying time with my husband and daughter. I also spend time reading and crocheting. We travel frequently and my constant companion is always a book.

Coline | 1 comments My name is Coline. I am a stay at home mom to my one year old son, Zachary, who takes up a large majority of my time. So much so that I'm usually amazed when I do find time to actually sit down and read a book! (any book other than Thomas the Train or picture books, that is)! Reading has most recently replaced my TV watching time (an amazing transformation I never thought would happen)! I am also pleasantly surprised to find my love of reading restored to me...this was lost when I was in college and forced to read too much stuff in too little of a time period! I majored in Psychology at ASU and graduated in 2001 and then moved to FL for about 8 years. Upon returning to NC in 2009 we lived in Asheville and I was perfectly content to live there the rest of my life. However, life...intervened...and my mother passed away in September, 2011 causing us to unexpectedly then uproot our lives in Asheville and move back to my hometown of Connelly Springs, NC to care for my grandad. Hopefully, someday we can return to living in Asheville, as my heart so desires!

Jeepster Hi, I'm Ashley. I'm a stay at home mom as well. I love to read and I'm sure my librarians are sick of me haha.
I won't be able to make the Java Joe's meetings because I will have my daughter with me but I look forward to having discussions online! :)

Whit Preston | 2 comments Hello. I am Whit, and I work part-time at CCPL. I have always had a general interest in books and media in general. However, I am not a major bibliophile in that I do not have to read a gazillion books every month.

The first time I can consciously remember truly enjoying reading happened when I read Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton.

Like many guys, I enjoy playing video games and board games. Although I am not seriously active, I do enjoy spending time outside whether it involve gardening, playing basketball, baseball or football, surfing, hunting, fishing, tai chi, or yoga.

I will enjoy being able to post my thoughts about various books that I am reading, and I look forward to future discussions and happenings. :0)
