Narzain heard an interview the other morning and he wrote down the web site for me to check out. (See blogs resources). It seems that there is a 250lb. woman who has taken up pole dancing and is quite the youtube star. I support her and her choice. (I can't watch her videos at the library so I will go with the idea that she must be good judging from the stills on her site.) She calls herself Lulu and I think that she proves that just because you are big, doesn't mean you can't do what "thin people" do nor does it mean that you are in any way less attractive. I think this woman is a fine example of what I am trying to say here and I hope all of you will check out her site.

I also think that actress Melissa McCarthy of "Mike and Molly" is also a positive plus size person. I recently saw her in an interview and she has had weight issues all of her life, but it did not stop her from being cheerleader when she was in school. She did become a perky goth as well, but she did not and does not let her size dictate what she can do.

Camryn Manheim is another one who I think exemplifies the positive image of a larger woman. She has fearlessly gone nude on film (The Road to Wellville)and did not let David E. Kelley keep her as a sideline character with no life on "The Practice". I love her frank book, "Wake Up! I'm fat" and her not letting her size hold her back on what she can do.

Good one! I forgot Nikki Blonsky. She not only did the musical movie, but she wore a bathing suit on a television show. I saw an interview with her about it, and she said that she wasn't nervous or anything, because is who she is, and she likes who she is.

I saw this on Yahoo! today and while I dont' care for the description of this kid being caleed "monster sized" I LOVE the fact that he is being recruited for being a remarkable athlete proving size truly does nto matter.
