Okay, recently I found out that this group is the first roleplay group some people are in, and I just wanted to make sure they know how to roleplay. First, make a character! (How are you going to roleplay if you don't have one?) Most of the time, the groups will provide a character sheet for you to fill out. Anyways, roleplaying is just like writing a book with other people! Except, you can only make specific characters do stuff. Example,
Person A: Joe ran into the forest, wanting to pick some berries for a delicious pie his mom would make. He couldn't wait to taste it!
Person B: Billy saw Joe run into the forest and followed him silently. He then positioned himself so he could jump out at Joe when he came by.
Person A: Joe heard a twig snap and stopped looking around.
Person B: Billy thought, Now or never, and jumped out at Joe.
Person A : "AAAAAAHH!!!!!", Joe screamed.
Yeah, so basicly you just respond to other peoples posts with your character. Don't worry about how good your posts are at first, you'll get better at it with time. Any questions?
Maybe try and avoid having your posts too short, as it can leave others with little to respond to. Length is not a concern so long as it further's the action or plot, but it also depends on what stage the story is at.
Very good thought, Wooflie. Actually if you look at the 'Roleplsy rules" which everyone who is roleplaying in this group should do, it actually states that your post should be nice and descriptive.
