What was your opinion of Edward leaving Bella in New Moon?
It was depressing, because Bella is also depressed. But Edward have has a reason why, it is for Bella's protection, it was for her own good.
a and b and c,A: it let us get to know jacob AND we got to see the volturi and a vampire makeing aa suicide attempt (thats ed! now i know how to do it!)
B: It got rid of edward :'( and made bella sad
C: either way it'd of been good
B and what Prabhjit said. I didn't think the book would be as good without Edward, but surprisingly I loved it anyway.
i din't really like it that he left but it was for her own good. And then it was just a matter time before they found there way back to each other that was what everyone was waiting for.
I loved the book. Im not really sure if I should put a b or c because I didnt really feel any of those. I loved all of the books, but I didn't like that he left. I suppose it was a bit depressing, but its not like thats the best way I can describe it. I suppose Im mostly a because even though I love Edward, and absolutley do not want bella to end up with jacob, I am glad that he left because it brought a lot more to his character and, it was more real than him staying becuase if Edward has been a real person, then that is what he would have done.
Not a fan of New Moon because there is no Edward. My favorite part of the book was the chapters that just had the months written on them because that is how I would feel, time is passing and I feel nothing without him. I'm a huge fan of Jasper, but his reaction really surprised me. I had hoped he was stronger than that.
B) I really hated it because Edward is my favorite character, and all the part with Jacob suck.
B. It was depressing. But he thought he was doing what was right, so you can't really fault him for that. He was just trying to keep her safe.

Yeah, he just thought it would be best for her if he wasn't in her live, but I guess he was wrong because look at them now. They are happilly married with a daughter.

Ugh, Edward over analyzes everything! ( you can really see that in MS) I cry every time I read the book or watch the movie. I want to thump Edward, but in a way they needed to be apart to truly realize that they can't live without each other. When they are reunited, Edward's blood lust for Bella is diminished, he says that it doesn't bother him after thinking that Bella had died. It hurts, but it was necessary. Plus Stephenie needed to introduce Jacob, who irritated me so much the first time I read the books!
In my opinion this ruined the book for me. Edward is my favorite character, and him not being in the book at much sucked. The character of Jacob didn't help the fact either. Overall this book is the sorest book in the series, and I hope I never have to read it again.
Also when I read the Illustrated Guide it really helped me understand this book more. Stephenie Meyer created Jacob so the Edward wouldn't come out and say he's a vampire. She also wrote the book the way she did so that there will be two very different chooses for her in Eclipse.

I know right. What was the point in him leaving if she was just going to bring him back?
I think the book would have been different if he hadn't left.

I was so mad at Edward when he left Bella. but I was glad Bella could be with Jacob.
b. Me also, I thought he was mentally ill. He was so cold!
B. It was depressing I hated it when Edward left Bella. That was cruel of him and I actually hated him for a while. (until the end, that was)
A/B- I was thoroughly depressed by it and tend to skip the chapter when he says goodbye every time I reread New Moon because it makes me cry too much. However, it gives Jacob a chance to form more of relationship with Bella and it makes you realise how much you miss all of the Cullen's (not just Edward) when they're gone.
I think the reasons why he did it were very understandable, but his timing was off. I think he could have gone about it differently than break up with her.
I didn't understand why, I think stephenie Meyer left the readers guessing . I think it was cowardice on Edwards part because we see in the first movie all he says is how much he loves Bella and how he's always going to be there for her
I think that he had Bella's best intentions for leaving and during his absence, we got to experience just how much Bella loved Edward and we got to go deeper into Jacobs character. I really loved how Jacob was there for Bella when she needed it.
True but it's mixed feelings for me I guess. I liked it because it was like Jacobs time to shine in a way and we started to really know who he is .
Oh god. Don't even get me started. I HATED it when Edward left Bella. HE was the one who threw her into a glass TABLE which made her bleed even more. To me, when Edward left Bella, it was because she is human. Humans bleed and the party incident, proved that he only left because Jasper ALMOST pounced on her. And the only reason that Edward is like "It was so easy for you to believe that I actually WANTED to leave you." The only reason she believed him so easily, is because he never lied to her before. So in process, he ALSO kind of betrayed her trust at the SAME TIME! I'm team Edward but when I was reading this book, I was about to turn to team Jacob UNTIL HE LEAVES HER TOO! What is everyone's problem with Bella in New Moon. I can't even. I am like unable to even right now.
Ooooh daddy got me maaaaad when he did that.
Oh, right! Hee hee, I didn't look at who created the comment.
:) Hahaha. This is weird kind of question, but… Who is your favorite Cullen besides Bella and Edward? I'm not asking you to choose between your family but I've always wondered what it was from your point of view.
Mmm....it's kind of too hard; I couldn't choose even if I wanted to. I love them all so much!

It was really a sad time. as the saying goes.....If you Love someone, let them go...if they come back....it was meant to be. The truth of the matter, is that Edward truly loved Bella and wanted her to have a normal life. I am not saying he was right..the way things happened, but when it came right down to it,....The love they share seemed to outlast and they overcame so much as a couple.
Sometimes you have to let go and do what's best for the other person. It hurts, you cry, but have to try. We all knew he would come back.
I'm not a big fan of New Moon (book or movie.....it was prob my least fav in the series) but I was really annoyed with Edward for leaving Bella. Of course, he wanted her to be safe, but it was still a cruel thing to do. My heart ached for Bella.
B. Depressing, I cried and I was all a mess. Then at the end when I found out why Edward left, I was crying. So yeah, my friends thought I had issues. :P
I was so upset with Edward, I understood his reasons, and later on when he explained things further I began to feel like the time they spent apart was a bit good for them because it only made there connection stronger.
At that time it was depressing and couldn't find the right reason for which she was abandoned when she needed him beside her to comfort her. Now if I were to reread that part a third time to get the best way of life when in a new situation in a relashionship to get the most important things in order I would have a good idea to get the best way.
This is what made this my least favorite movie I think. Don't get me wrong I love Twilight, but I just though Bella's mood kind of ruined it. I understand that she was really heartbroken about Edward leaving (I mean who woud'nt be), but the movie was sort of dramatic. Totally not hating here. I absolutely am obsessed with Twilight

B. It was depressing
C. I didn't really care
