Vicky (thesevagabondshoes) | 155 comments You've picked Trainspotting. Good choice for something that will be a marked contrast to your others, both in terms of structure and language. It's worth finding somewhere to read it aloud, as the narrative jumps between English, Scottish English (as different from standard English as American English is) and Scots (all rendered phonetically) depending on the character. Plus, one of the characters has imaginary conversations with Sean Connery, so worth practicing your accent!
