A place where you can ask advice about writing: character description, plot, writer's block, outlining...whatever may be troubling you! (You can also check out my blog, both on my author page A.J. Cunder or website www.TheSilverTalon.com)

Happy reading/writing!

With school papers it's a little trickier, but for fiction stories I can suggest that you just put yourself as deeply into the story as possible. Pretend as if you yourself were a character and say, in this situation, what would I do? Or, given these circumstances, what could logically come next? Of course, with this approach, it's important to have at least a general idea of where the story is heading. That way you can have something to work with getting from point A to point B.

And if the answer doesn't come to you right away, it's ok! I would sometimes spend an hour walking around the track at my high school thinking about how I could move my story forward.

Another tip is jotting down handwritten notes before going right to the computer. There's just something so intimidating about that blinking cursor lol. Free writing for me has helped me get past some stumbling blocks.

Just write something....anything and use as much detail as possible. Later, come back to it and edit. This always works for me.

Niel I found this site that has a great way to outline your books. It explains how to write a novel using the snowflake method.
