How did you start writing? What has been your inspiration?

Sorry for the late reply. I'm been swamped and very neglectful of goodreads. First of all, thank you for posting. I started writing when I was quite young, maybe ten or so. I've always been fascinated with books and authors and loved to make up stories. A big fan of James Bond at the time, most of my earlier work fell into the spy thriller category, although I think my first attempt at a novel was a detective story. My new fantasy series was inspired by my daughters and written especially for them, although in an ironic twist, the series has become much more successful than anything else I've written.
