Pretty in Fiction discussion

Please keep this thread SPOILER FREE! What are some of your first impressions about this novel? What do you think so far of the society(-ies) presented?

So, I have every intention of starting this over the weekend. I was planning on starting last night, but I keep getting wrapped up by A Storm of Swords. It is so bloddy long I've read three other books while reading this. I usually stop when things slow down but the most recent chapters have been insane! I'll catch up for sure!

Ha! Gotta love long books like that. I've been meaning to get to George R. R. Martin's for a while. Is it good, at least?
