Secret Speakers: Read & Rate It discussion

I just got back from walking my sister's dog and it occurred to me that there needs to be more than one prize when everyone is working so hard.

How about a prize for second and third, and maybe even an honorable mention? I'd be happy for suggestions.

Nobody's responded, so here's what I want to do. I feel incredibly grateful to the people who are already helping to spread the word, and I didn't want to give gifts for second and third place that were just gadgets, or that might not go over well at home with parents, like a cell phone (in case a winner is a young teenager.)

So, I thought, "Why not a Kindle for first, second and third, along with a FlipVideo Camcorder?} (Which, of course, I'm hoping the winner would post a video online and here at Goodreads about how much they liked (or detested) Secret Speakers!)

The difference with first place would be an extra bonus which I'm so excited about--VERY. But I'm not going to announce it until the day the Kindles are given away.

I feel good about all that. I hope you do, too. Tell your friends!

I might suggest creating some prizes on Zazzle.com with the book cover art. Slightly cheaper than Kindles and flip video Camcorders.

Incidently, speaking of Flip Video Camcorders, Cafepress.com now has them... which means that if you set up a store there, you can put the book cover art on one and sell it/give it as prizes.

Omg, what about an actual signed copy of the book? I would be happy for a Camcorder, but and autographed book would make me flip-out!
