The Sword and Laser discussion

So Patrick Rothfuss, as part of his big fundraiser, is auctioning off a giant fortune cookie with a 'sneak peek' at Day Three. It's currently going for $450 (auction ends 12/23/11).

I figure I would pay up to $10 for a sneak peek, plus another $10 for a giant cookie. I have lots of patience and several other books to read in the meantime. How much would others pay for a preview?

Looks like its up to $510 now. The series is good and so is the cause. Only wish I had that kind of spare change to throw down on it.

If I had the scratch, I'd buy it at that price. It's for a good cause and all.
