Secrets of the Demon discussion

Is it just me,or does anyone else feel that there is a secret being alluded to. About the origins of the demon summoners?

Well here is my take on it. They are actually descended from demons. Henche their abilities.

Im sorry I cant provide quotes. But the clues are there. For example in the first book Karas grandmother and her friends were trying to summon a particular demon.

And Kara thinks its strange that they should summon just that one. I thought perhaps he/it could be their ancestor and therefore prone to be more lenient.

And then there are some enigmatic comments from Rhyzkahl.

Furthermore in book 3 Kara has real concerns she could end up (view spoiler)[pregnant after being with Rhyzkahl (hide spoiler)]

Interesting question. I'm not sure myself. I think there are quite a few secrets still to be forthcoming.

I do love the series though. Not enough Rhyzkahl in the last book which really sucked.

"The demons are not demonic, and the demonic are not demons"

Ryan is said to be a Demonic lord.

I believe that the Demonic lords are either summoners who have moved to the Demon plane, or they could be some other plane being that came to the demon and human planes.

Interesting theory. I havent thought about it like that before. I had the impression Ryan was a demon lord who had done something wrong and been banished to the human world.

But if there is a demon plane and a human plane-whos to say that there arent others too?

I agree with hitandmiss. I thought summoners were either descended from or related to demonic lords. I also think Ryan isn't the only one who was sent to the human world and made to forget who he was. Based on spoilers, I speculate (view spoiler)[ Kara and Rhyzkhal were lovers in the old castle and Ryan did something (possibly with Kara or to Kara) that destroyed that set up. Ryan's oath breaking might have had something to do with protecting humans, which makes his punishment fitting. It would also explain why Kara is drawn to him. Hopefully we'll find out in the next book. (hide spoiler)]

Your comment about Ryan not being the only one is something ive thought about too.
