4-H checkparty police i know, I throw them after 7:57
You had a senior skip day.
You can't help but date a friend's ex. ya happens all the time
The town next to you is considered "trashy" or "snotty" when it is just like your town.
AH! HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT MY TOWN IS LIKE?!!! =P
4H- heck you really go to go out back, lol, half of my school didn't know what it was until I showed up, lol.Your school principal takes you to the Royal because his cows are in the show.
You don't know how much a Rolex costs.
You have to do a background check on all potential dates to make sure they are not related to you. (I'm an immi so I'm safe but one of my classmates is related to atleast half of the town)
Nobody blinks an eye when you skip school during harvest season.
Your sister is Plowman's Princess which holds more meaning than prom queen. Only Queen of Furrow are higher on the list.
The biggest thing happening in your town is mcgavin's tractor supply and the Thresher's Reunion in the next town over.
You walk to the fair leading a goat due to a traffic jam and arrive late because everyone wanted to know how the barn was going.
I could write I book on that. LOL
I don't live in a small town, and my ancestors are spread all over the place, so luckily I don't have to worry... you made some really funny comments.
Ahh it's nice to read about Tweed. That's in ONtario. There is a rumor that Elvis lives here. Seriously, it really boosted tourism. We are what is called cottage country. Every year there is a big outdoor party at a local bar (they call it a resort but it is really a bar with a few motel rooms placed in a field with a trailer park next to it.). It's called Trudeau Park Weekend but the locals call the weekend May tow-four. Get it? It's on Victoria Day weekend and you drink lots of beer. People from the "city" and from as far away as Alabama, that is far from us, come and camp all weekend in thte middle of a mudpit, rain or shine. Crazy. I did it once because we all do but really, why would I sleep in the rain with a bunch of drunk stangers when my house is like, across the field. That is my small town.
Hah! You know you live in a small town when you not only know the names of at least half the people but you know the names of their dogs, too.You know if you want to see everyone in town go to the post office... or Tim Horton's if you have one.
You know you're in a small town when the clothing stores only carry fleece and hiking boots.
You know you're in a small town when the motels in town are only full in fishing and hunting season.
And you REALLY know you're in a small town when every time you need some kind of medical test done you are sent to one of 5 other towns depending on which test you get.
My town is at least big enough to call a town... my daughter lives in a "town" of 250.
"My town is at least big enough to call a town... my daughter lives in a "town" of 250."Jealous. The smaller the town, the happier I am.
Another thing about small towns, everyone knows you spent the night in somebody else's bed the morning after, the same way everyone knows you are pregant before your husband does. (ask my aunt about that one. Can you say "Shotgun wedding"?)

A couple more:
You know you're in a small town when you only have well-water.
You know you're in a small town when tourists come to see the vehicles in your driveway for entertainment.
You know you're in a small town when your doctor, pharmacist, helicopter pilot, RCMP member all live on the same road you do.
You know you're in a small town when a trip to the dump is a family outing.
I live in the suburbs. But I always thought it would be fun to live in a small town. (I still loooooove where I'm at though. :D)
The daughter I spoke of earlier who lived in a town of 250 (which incidentally was nearly all related) is now living in a mid-sized town in BC, where they are much happier.
Haha that's OK. We accept everyone here! Lolz XD
I live in the suburbs so I can't really compare to that too.
