im kind of sad that they havent!! he was so ideal, but it looks like ill have to live with Jamie Campbell Bower. i havent seen any films with him in yet so i can't say anything!!im going to keep an open mind...
I heard that clary is going to be played by lilly collins!!!! Im a bit confused whether im happy or sad about this because lilly collins is good at being happy but I dont know if shes good at acting sad or angry. I think they should cast Kristopher Turner as Simon
Jamie Campbell Bower had a minor part in Harry Potter (7) and Twilight (2+4)I agree about Lily Collins, I've seen her in a film but she didn't come across as particulaly fiesty or differnt from other Hollywood actors.
Kristopher Turner is 32!!!! This is compared to Jamie (Jace) who is 24 and Lily (Clary) who is 21. Way too old for Simon.
i can actually kind of see that turner guy as simon which is weird...
Hes 34!!!!!! I must have seen a picture of him when he was 19 or something because the picture I saw was definitley not of a 34 year old guy. I heard Alex Pettyfer turned down the role of Jace. Why on earth would he do that!!!

Deadline announces the new director for The Mortal Instruments, and, for those who were worrying that Lily Collins was picking up too many new roles to manage Clary, she is locked down for the August 15th shooting date I mentioned earlier. “Principal photography is expected to begin August 15th in Toronto.” *
I don’t have a release date — two different release dates were mentioned to me when I was in LA, but I don’t know which will eventually be final: it depends on which distributor Constantin goes with. Release date is the last piece of info you get before a green light — it means a studio has literally blocked a time for your film. It is legit exciting news when it happens, so keep your fingers crossed.
[Jamie’s not mentioned in the article, but he’s still attached to the project — it’s just an article about Lily and Harald, and now that all the i’s and t’s are crossed and dotted with Lily they’re probably doing the same with Jamie in terms of blocking his time. My speculation there, though.]

To The Mortal Instruments. Its called The Dark Artifices. Its set 5 years after the mortal instruments and the main characters are Emma Carstairs and Jullian Blackthorne. The book is meant to come out in 2015. Theres more info on the website

yes clary and jace are the main characters, but Emma and Jullian are going to appear in city of lost souls
