Annalie Reef by Romesh Gunesekera, shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 1994, is an excellent and unforgettable little novel.

Annalie Fans of Michael Ondaantje's poetic writing style will enjoy his book Running in the Family, in which he records his journey through his native island of Sri Lanka.
