There are the normal people you see everyday. And then there are the Chosen Ones. The five elements have granted their strength to these humans. Whether they use the power for good or for evil is up to them. And when they meet, the apocalypse is sure to start. For there is always someone after them, always someone trying to trick them, manipulate them. After all, their power is most coveted. They are the most powerful mortals--Earth, Fire, Water, Wind, and Metal.

((Mkay. Dramatic first post is up. Now, I explain stuffs...
In this RP, there are five elements. You could argue that Metal isn't really natural, that it's man made. Or you could argue that it's part of the element Earth. Meh. For this RP, there will be five elements. That is final.
How extensive your characters powers are is up to you. Just please, please try not to step out of bounds. That's sure to cause conflict about who controls what and blah blah. I don't care if there are water vapor in the air. You will not be calling on the North Wind when you're supposed to be controlling Water.
I'm not saying that the Elements can cooperate. If you want to use your powers to help one another or attack each other, that's cool. Each element is as strong as the next. If the wielder doesn't reach their full potential...well, that's their issue and also up to you.
You don't have to be a good guy. You don't have to control an element. If everyone is a good guy, there's no fun. We want conflict between the characters (But not between the users...)
There are a lot of people after the Chosen Ones. You can make up your own and have them attack and all. But there's one that I think I might as well share.
Artificials. They try to reach the same level of power as the Chosen Ones through science and man made technology. They generally think they're better than the original Elements. Ehh...the Artificials' views change from person to person. Some respect the Elements while some think they're bull.
It'd be cool if your character's personality reflected their Element. It'd also be cool if your character hasn't realized their powers or is aware of them but hasn't developed them. It'd be even cooler if you applied logic and have (initial) limits to what your character can do. Because otherwise, I'll have to call Lucy and pay her to lecture everyone about the terrible-ness of Mary Sues and Gary Stues...Yeah. Just be cool...
Cough...long post is long. And over. Have fun, folkzz...))

((All credit to original rp goes to fghasdf, also known as Anti Melody, also known as Monica.

Current characters: Thomas Arcane (Wind), Marina Amelia Perexial (Water), Adrianne C. Emerson (Fire), Finn Ryttare (Metal). Thomas is my character, Marina is Frankie's, Adrianne is Monica's but is roleplayed by Zelda, and Finn belongs to Lucy, although she has yet to create him. /gives hard look
Since Shay is no longer active, the Earth spot is free.

Okay, the new Trust No One rolplay is officially active.))

New York. Busy, dizzy, whirling with nonstop motion. There were so many places to visit, so many things to do. Adrianne didn't know if she'd be able to go to all of the places on her parents' schedule.

First thing was first: The hotel. And then the Empire State Building.

((I think it'd be cool if she met someone there who was more aware of their powers...Please join, people.))

Frankie | 546 comments ((Can I re-post from the old roleplay? Like at at least the part about the statue of liberty?))

Marina stared in awe at the colossal structure before her. It was beautiful. Once made out of pure copper, the rain had diluted the statue to an exquisite mint green. Marina thought of how much this statue meant. It was the statue of liberty. It symbolized the freedom that America provided to so many immigrants.

Absorbed in her thoughts, it took Marina a while to realize that it was raining. While Marina had begun to feel sick at the thought of the height of the monument, she suddenly felt better.

Venturing back towards the ferry, Marina headed for the shelter of the ship. Feeling nauseous once under the tarp, Marina headed to the port side of the boat.

While everyone scuttled to the center in attempt to remain dry, Marina noticed that she had not gotten wet. Realizing that there was something different about herself, Marina stared into the depths of cobalt water below her.

Although Marina knew that she shouldn't be able to see plankton (since it's microscopic), she knew that when she saw small spiral shaped flurries, they were zooplankton. Enticed, Marina remained on the port side of the ship throughout the entire ride back to the mainland.

Upon arriving in New York City, New York, Marina freaked. That many tall buildings after such a serene ferry trip was nearly enough to topple her over.

Marina doesn't like heights.

As Marina strolled through the maze of skyscrapers, she caught sight of a girl about her age. Glad to finally meet someone her own age, Marina walked up to her. "Hey!" she called, waving.

Marina nodded to the red-haired girl with coal-colored eyes. "I'm Marina. I just moved here a week ago... so I'm glad to meet someone my age. You know, before school starts up again."

Thomas peered down from the top of the Empire State Building. He was so high up, the people below looked even smaller than ants. The wind whipped at his curls and tugged at his clothes. He smiled, enjoying the feeling of freedom he had up here.

A rush of wind ran through the sixteen year old in question, her long multicolored, jagged-edged, almost tortured hair flowing along with the element as she turned her head to look at the girl beside her. "Oh, hey there, Marina. I'm Ri, nice to be of your...acquaintance." Wait, school is coming up?! NOOO.... A look of slight annoyance ran across the fair teen's face, and she sighed. "Aw man, school...totally forgot about that..."

message 9: by Frankie (new)

Frankie | 546 comments Marina laughed, "How could you forget about school? And nice to meet you, Ri."

"I dunno, I just don't think about it. I have better things to do that think about school..." The way she'd uttered 'school' was as if it were the dirtiest, most vile word she knew.

message 11: by Frankie (new)

Frankie | 546 comments Marina laughed again. "Well, do you want to hang out today? We could rollerblade around the city, or check out central park, or," she paused avoiding mentioning museums, "something," Marina concluded.

"Hm..." Ri looked up at the sky, thinking over her choices, before quickly setting her mind on,"Sure! I've nothing to do, so....wanna go get something to eat first?"

message 13: by Frankie (new)

Frankie | 546 comments "Sounds great! Do you know any good food places?" she asked. "I just moved here, so..."

"Well, there's a really good pizza place up top o' the empire state building..." Ri looked up at the building and made a face. But it's so...high....and I'm hungry now... She shrugged. "Or we could find someplace closer--which do you wanna do?"

message 15: by Frankie (new)

Frankie | 546 comments Marina shivered at the thought of going all the way to the top of the empire state building. "Heights don't really go well with me, so I'll vote for some place closer."

"Oh, okay," YES," then we can go to that thai food place over there," Ri motioned towards the large sign with foreign characters sprawled across it. "Or...we could go get a burger over there," the teen moved her hand to the right, aimed towards the stand in question," or....we could have pizza at that mushroom-man place over there." Her hand moved to point out that restaurant as well.

message 17: by Frankie (new)

Frankie | 546 comments "How about thai?" asked Marina. "I always like to try something new."

Thomas's pocket buzzed. He sighed wistfully and pulled back from the edge. His mom would kill him if he dropped his phone off of the Empire State Building, even though he was positive that he could hold onto it.

"Hello," Thomas said into his .
"Thomas?" His mom's voice was almost lost in the wind. "Where are you?"
"Where I was last time you called," Thomas replied with a sigh. "The Empire State Building, mom, remember?"
"You're still there? Haven't you eaten lunch yet?"
"No," Thomas grumbled. "Okay, I'll eat something."
"On the ground, please," his mother said reprovingly. "I don't approve of you eating pizza all the time."
Thomas mumbled something that could have been "Sure," before hitting the End button. Gosh, moms. So annoying.

Frankie | 546 comments ((Nice way to get Thomas on the ground, Bobbie. (-=))

Marina looked at the menu, trying to decide what she wanted. Shrimp tempura?

Ri stared at her menu, undecided on what she wanted. I--I have to choose one, but...it all looks good...

message 22: by Frankie (new)

Frankie | 546 comments Finally, Marina settled her mind. "I think I'll have the ginger chicken." she told Ri, putting down her menu.

"Have you lived in New York all your life?"

After exiting the Empire State Building (on the GROUND, of course), Thomas looked around for a place to eat his mom would approve of. Hey, Thai food. I haven't had some good Asian in a while. He made his way over to the small eatery, the bell on the door tinkling as he pushed it open.

Thomas ordered and then looked around the room for an empty table. The small place was crowded; the only place he could sit was at a rickety table near two gossiping girls about his age. He slouched in the chair and played a game on his iPhone while he waited for his food.

message 30: by Frankie (new)

Frankie | 546 comments "Whoa, really?" Marina exclaimed. "That's so cool! I live on the third floor," Marina responded. "What a coincidence," she added, under her breath.

Thomas couldn't help but listen. The Gramercy apartments... weird. He was on the third floor too (not nearly high enough for his taste), but he wasn't about to tell those girls that.

message 33: by Frankie (new)

Frankie | 546 comments "Maybe I can invite you over sometime," said Marina. "You know, after we get moved in." She took a bite out of her ginger chicken and sipped water through a straw. "And hey," she added, "we might even have some classes together."
