CHAPTER 1



Zora walked home with No One. She never fit in at school and coming home early was better then staying the whole day. She always had her hood up. And nobody noticed. She thought her life was with No One beacuse he was nothing but a black shadow that watched her wherever she went. She knew, yet didn't care. Zora looked sad all the time with her dark brown eyes and heavy makeup. She reached home and saw some people move in next door. A guy ran over; he looked the same age as her.
"Hi, I'm Layne. I just moved in next do-."
Zora walked away, for No One had said for her to do so. She was sucked in.
Layne watched her walk away and ran back over to his house, wondering what was so messed up with her.

CHAPTER 2


Layne sat in his new room thinking about the girl next door. First, he wanted to know her name. Two, he wanted to know what her problem was. And lastly, he wanted to know if he could help her. He looked out his window, hoping to see her smiling at his window waving him to come down to say hello right. But all he saw was darkness and cars passing by to get home. He walked back to his bed and layed down and started to think agan. Not so soon after he asked himself if he was going to make friends, Layne fell asleep.

Zora thought about Layne and how he said hi. She was going to say hi but every time she tried, No One said no. She began to feel alone and No One said it was a good thing. She began to think that it wasn't so good. But then again, she never fit into school or her town, so why would Layne like her? She walked over to her window, which had a veiw of Layne's house. She tried to smile, but it wasn't working out. She looked at her wall, which had pictures of all her old friends when she was 8 and 12 years old. But when she truned 13, they lost intrest in her, saying she was changing and they didn't like it. Then there was her 8th birthday. She looked so happy riding her new bike. Another photo was her 8th grade graduation. She had a somber expression. At that time No One started to take over her. And now she didn't think that was such a good thing. Then her freshmen year of high school she still had a somber face. The last photo was summer of freshmen year; she didn't look happy at all! After that, her mom never took photos of her beacuse she always looked mad. She walked back to her bed and layed down.
"What's so screwed up about me that I can't even take a good photo?" She asked herself.
Then she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

CHAPTER 3

zora got up the next day wanting not to go to school. She draged herself out of bed and into the bathroom. Brushed her hair and teeth. She threw on a pair of black skinny jeans and a black sweat shirt. She put up the hood and got her backpack. She opened the door and without saying bye she left.

Layne got ready for his first day of school. He found his backpack and threw his stuff in it. As soon as he went out the door he saw the girl next door. He was so focused on waching her he triped and fell. Blood from his knee gushed out.
"Shit!"He yelled
The gril turned arownd but turned back and walked away. Layne got up and went back inside to wash the cut. When he was done he walked back out and went to school.

Zora went to her locker like she always did. She talked to nobody as always. She walked to her first class and sat down at her seat. The bell rang and everyone sat down.
"Class," The teacher spoke up"I want you all to notice we have a new student here. His name is layne."
The teacher pointed at layne and layne looked down. Zora looked at him and knew he was shy.
"Anyways lets start class."The teacher picked up her folder and began.

Class was over. Layne didn't know how to live though it with the hole THIS IS LAYNE EVERYONE LETS LOOK AT HIM deal. Layne walked back to his locker and threw his books in his locker. The girl from next door walked over
"Um..Hi..I'm Zora.."The girl said
"Hi Zora."Layne smiled
Zora slid a smile out but it went away and she walked away from layne. Layne thought.
Zora thats a nice name. But why is she so quiet and why does she have her hood up?
The bell rang and Layne ran to his next class.

Zora sat in her next class not lissening to the teacher but No One. He was yelling at her. For talking and smileing. She couldn't help it she wanted a friend and layne was the only one who didn't think she was a freak. But all she could hear over herslef was No One saying
"Why the hell would you do something so freakin stuped. You don't need anyone else. Your a No freakin One get it!"
Zora was scared to say anything she said nothing but looked ahead of her and lissened to No One yelling at her.

CHAPTER 4

Layne went home not wanting to go back to school. He slamed him self on to his bed. He didn't go down to eat or anything. He just closed his eyes and thought about Zora soon he fell asleep.

Zora got home and was ready for bed. She hated hearing No One yell at her all day. She was ready for bed. She walked upstairs to her room. Into the bathroom and changed. She brushed her teeth and layed down but she couldn't sleep. All she could do is think of Layne. But when she did that more yelling from No One. Soon she fell asleep to the sound of No One yelling.

CHAPTER 5

Zora got up the next day she didn't feel so good.

Layne got up and walked to school his first class with Zora but she wasn't there for some reason. He went to lunch and sat alone he didn't want people to notice him.

Zora all day sat and tried to sleep but couldn't. Then she had to listen to No One tell her she needed rest but she already knew this. She finally fell asleep. When she woke she heard No One complaining again about Layne and how he was no good for Zora. Zora had enough and ran outside in the pouring rain. As she saw Layne walking by.
"Are you ok?" Layne asked
"N...No.."Zora felt tears roll down her face
"Whats going on did someone hurt you?" Layne asked
"Uh...Uh.."Zora tried to think but No One showed up again yelling
"What the hell Zora are you stupid?!"
Zora walked back into the house without another word.
Layne stood there frozen confused on what had happened.

CHAPTER 6


Zora couldn't stand No One anymore she wanted it to go away. She didn't know what to do.

Layne sat at home wondering if Zora was ok. He walked down stairs and to her door. He knocked. No answer. He knocked again.

Zora headed down stairs. Someone was at the door. She saw it was Layne and saw somewhat happy it was him. She tried to reach for the nob but her hand kept pulling back. She heard No One screaming at her. Zora held strong and opened the door.
"H...Hello?"Zora looked at Layne
"Hey you ok?"Layne asked
"Yeah..Yeah I think so."Zora held her arm
Layne looked up then down at her
"Ok Cause earlier you didn't s..seem. Like. You were."Layne looked at the ground and saw something red it dripped from Zora's arm.
"Are you sure your ok?" Layne asked
"Y-yeah."Zora looked at him confused
Layne reached over and moved her hand and saw a huge cut. Deep and long. His eyes widened.
"Come on you need help."Layne took her to his car and drove her to the doctors
