At the time, it was the only Mitchell that I'd read post-GR.
I wasn't totally happy with it, but I still gave it five stars.
Perhaps, I regarded it as a noble failure?
Better to have tried and failed, than not to have tried at all.
Then again, it's more flawed than a failure.
Nobly flawed. Like me. No, that's not right either. I'm ignobly flawed.

They are all so different (well, Cloud Atlas and Ghostwritten have similarities) that it sometimes seems odd to compare them, but Ghostwritten is my favourite, closely followed by Cloud Atlas. I think The Thousand Autumns is a brilliant book, but not so much to my taste. I don't remember number9dream very well, and I know that Black Swan Green was my least favourite.
