At the time, it was the only Mitchell that I'd read post-GR.

I wasn't totally happy with it, but I still gave it five stars.

Perhaps, I regarded it as a noble failure?

Better to have tried and failed, than not to have tried at all.

Then again, it's more flawed than a failure.

Nobly flawed. Like me. No, that's not right either. I'm ignobly flawed.

Cecily | 3 comments I've read all his books, and my reviews are here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...

They are all so different (well, Cloud Atlas and Ghostwritten have similarities) that it sometimes seems odd to compare them, but Ghostwritten is my favourite, closely followed by Cloud Atlas. I think The Thousand Autumns is a brilliant book, but not so much to my taste. I don't remember number9dream very well, and I know that Black Swan Green was my least favourite.

Ian "Marvin" Graye | 36 comments Perhaps a reread of number9dream is in store?

Cecily | 3 comments Yes, probably, though not imminently. Some time this year.
