David Mitchell Appreciation discussion

Any and all criticism of David Mitchell's writing. What is it that you don't like about his writing style or books? Where does he fall flat? Is his pretensions way beyond his ability? How?

I'm not sure how I ended up here I started one david mitchell book and got bored and didn't finish it. I am perhaps a clerical error

I wouldn't say so. I definitely think that you had some reasons for not enjoying it. I would however, definitely recommend giving it another go or trying a different book!

I am so ambivalent, we'll see if I get around to it.
