Great list there Michael. Pretty spot on I think and I can't see one there that doesn't deserve it except for the Jemisin and Terry Pratchett ones which I haven't read.
Could be based on sales. I was in a B&N this week and no sign on 'Wise Man's Fear' anywhere, but a big pile of 'Dance with Dragons'.

I'm pretty sure that it was based on "personal preference" of the reviewer who chrated it.
Yeah, no DwD, no Crippled God... pretty sketchy in my books.
No single..."Best of" list will satisfy everyone I keep toying with the idea of "compiling" a bunch of them just to see a more comprehensive list.
If/when I do my compilaiton I'll probably put it out before the Hugo nominations but then will edit it to include them.
