Janice (jamasc) He He... I almost feel guilty.

Nice list, Kat!

message 3: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments And not a zombie in sight ;)

As I'm currently trying to alternative review books with books of my choice, this gives me the perfect list to choose from!

message 4: by Anne (new)

Anne (reachannereach) Kat, I'm impressed! You came up with your list so quickly. And you have some really great books on your list. Glad you decided to join us.

message 5: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly | 130 comments Nice list Kat, sime of the titles look very interesting :) Glad you decided to join in on the fun!

mussolet (sovotchka) | 115 comments That's a great list - probably the most memoirs and travelogues I've seen on anybody's list so far. Thought more people would be reading books like that :).

Good Luck with The Reader; I've had a tough time getting through it (because of the difficult themes (which we talked through in class, and I had to talk about again in my oral exam), not because of the way it's written).

And you're reading The Consequences of Love, that's on my list too ;).

message 7: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments I love both memoirs and travelogues, this is just a perfect excuse to finally read them!

message 8: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Huston (telynor) | 101 comments Very impressive!

message 9: by Mikki (new)

Mikki WOW, that was quick, great job. You are obviously not an indecisive person like some of us...okay, me. I might be reading [Book:Say You're One Of Them] too and I believe that Sue has it also.

I really enjoyed [Book: The Reader] and think that you will too. Much better than the movie, but then isn't that usually the case!

message 10: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments I knew all obsessive list making and categorising would come in handy!!

I'm looking forward to both Say You're One of Them and especially The Reader - I didn't even watch the movie the whole way through!

Jenny (Reading Envy) (readingenvy) | 1309 comments I'm glad you gave in! Just read what you can, and we'll look forward to seeing what you have to say. Oh yes and your books have been added to the master lists.

message 12: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments I've swapped my South African read to The Power of One - I just picked it randomly as my next audiobook so it made sense to change my list to include it!

message 13: by Vicky (new)

Vicky (thesevagabondshoes) | 155 comments I love The Power of One, its a great story.

message 14: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments I've never read the book, only seen the movie, which is bad especially considering he is an Australian author. The audiobook version is really good, Humphrey Bower is an excellent narrator and has a great range of accents.

message 15: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments I've just realised that Say You're One of Them is actually a series of stories and are all set (I believe) in different African countries. Can I still claim this as Kenya, even though it's only 1/5 of the book set there?

Otherwise I'll have to make it Nigeria, and I already have Half of a Yellow Sun for Nigeria....

message 16: by Chel (new)

Chel | 187 comments Nice list Kat! I see we share the Canada read, Cat's Eye which I think is funny because your uname is Kat. :)

message 17: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments Ok, Kenya it is then :-D

message 18: by Pragya (new)

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 253 comments Love your list. We have quite a few books in common.

message 19: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments A change for Japan - I've been wanting to read Battle Royale since I bought it a few months ago, but I didn't even have it added on GR so I missed it.

message 20: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments 3 down, 49 to go. Need to get a wriggle-on :-D

message 21: by Susan (new)

Susan | 83 comments Great List ... still working on mine as I read...may swipe a few of your titles.

message 22: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 49 comments I thought it had been a couple of months since I updated this, but it's been six months! I don't think I'm going to finish the challenge, but I'm up to 11 books so far :)

message 23: by Susan (new)

Susan | 83 comments Not sure I have that many!
