Talk about it here. Be open minded.

Mel (who is deeply in love with herself) (iamdeeplyinlovewithmyself) Ooh. This is a pretty sensitive topic, isn't it? I don't think I should open the discussion, because I have no experience of abuse to share. I'll wait for a brave person to come along.

Um, I have not been abused as far as I know in anyway.

BUT two of my friends were sexually abused. That is all I'm saying because I don't think they want the world to know about it.

Thank you... thank you for sharing.
I know how hard it must be for you to share this.
One of my friends burst into tears in the middle of a video for sociology because of an abuse victim and we had to talk about the video afterwards...
It was a bad day for her.

((you can ignore this one if you want))
Sometimes, it's better to just let it all out. Let out all your frustrations, angers, feelings, emotions, everything. Just let it all out.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

You should never have to get used to anything that bad...

It shouldn't happen in the first place.

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments People who abuse others are just sick. *Is disgusted.*

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments Its amazing that you were able to forgive them. I know for certian that I wouldnt have been able too. No matter how much I cared for them I just wouldnt be able to forgive them if it were me.

Marlene (marlene1001) | 403 comments But isn´t it even more horrible when someone you LOVE does that to you? That´s so...!!!

I'm glad she you forgive them.
Forgiveness is hard to do and it shows how strong of a person you are.

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments I totally agree with EJ. You really are a strong person to be able to forgive them.

message 21: by Marlene (new)

Marlene (marlene1001) | 403 comments How did you get out of this? It must have been hard.

And EJ is right: You are a strong person to endure that and still forgive them.

message 22: by Marlene (new)

Marlene (marlene1001) | 403 comments Right you are.
...I want to hug you and tell you how brave you are.

message 29: by Marlene (new)

Marlene (marlene1001) | 403 comments I think hugs have already become obliging. ;)

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments We need a motto to do with hugs for this group...*Begins thinking.*

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments I found an interesting quote: A hug is like a boomerang; you get it back right away.

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments I think I found one: Hug department-Always open.
You have to admit. On this group it IS kinda true...

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments I just looked up 'hug quotes'. Theres this good site with a whole bunch of hug quotes on it. Im having fun reading them all. :)

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments You know the song: 'We will rock you'?

I adapted it:

We will
We will
HUG YOU!

I had a funny mental image of a bunch of gangters singing this while threatening to hug random people on the street...

It may not be funny to you but it is to me.

Marlene (marlene1001) | 403 comments THIS IS AMAZIN!
I won´t ever get that picture out of my head... xD

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments I loved that one also. :)

Vyanni Krace ~Wisdom of the bitter sea.~ (vyannikrace) | 971 comments We should bring these quotes to the mods...get them to put it in the groups summary...

message 42: by Marlene (new)

Marlene (marlene1001) | 403 comments Definitely! How amazing would that be?!

message 44: by Ross (new)

Ross Bauer (nightlightknight) A hug is the best thing in life, and the best things in life are free, but hugs are invaluable *hugs everyone*

message 45: by shady boots (new)

shady boots (shadyboots) This topic always kills me the most... Especially child abuse. I just... Why? Just why? That's all I ever wonder.

message 46: by Ross (new)

Ross Bauer (nightlightknight) My thought exactly Wild Heart, it makes no sense, maybe it's an expression of something darker within us all, something perverse and warped.

message 47: by Ross (new)

Ross Bauer (nightlightknight) I doubt they think it's acceptable, but I really wouldn't know. But I think it has something to do with the adage that the abused' always kick downwards' they pick on those weaker than them to have their 'revenge' taking out their anger and frustration on that vulnerable person rather than attempting to hit back at the originator.

message 48: by shady boots (new)

shady boots (shadyboots) I know, but... God, they shouldn't take it out on a child. :/

message 49: by Ross (new)

Ross Bauer (nightlightknight) Well, in their perverse scheme of logic, a child is least likely to fight back so... it's sickening, but how to put a stop to it, short of Big Brother watching your every move?

message 50: by Ross (last edited Jan 03, 2012 10:16PM) (new)

Ross Bauer (nightlightknight) No, not that, I meant Big Brother, as in Orwell's , 1984which is a system of cameras in every house watching everything people do. I'm sorry Rhian *hug*
