Not sure that 75 is realistic for me, but I'll give it a shot. I met my goal of 50 last year and want to up the ante. :D

Even if you don't make your quota, this group is so much fun it won't matter! I'm not expecting to make it either, but I love the people here! So friendly! Hope you enjoy it! And good luck on your challenge!
Thanks, Joy! I joined this group late last year, so I'm looking forward to participating the full year this time around. Yay!Good luck with your challenge, too!
Thanks so much you guys! :)I've got a few things in progress, but these are the first I finished:
1. The Walking Dead, Vol. 1: Days Gone Bye, 4/5
2. The Walking Dead, Vol. 2: Miles Behind Us, 3/5
I've enjoyed the tv series for the most part (was not as impressed with the second season as I was the first), so it was interesting to read the source material. I'm sure I'll keep knocking these issues out between other stuff.
3. The Walking Dead, Vol. 3: Safety Behind Bars, 3/5 (this series is addictive, hehe)4. The Princess Curse, 4/5
5. On Writing Horror: A Handbook by the Horror Writers Association, 4/56. Blood, Bones, and Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef, 3/5
7. The Walking Dead, Vol. 4: The Heart's Desire, 3/58. The Walking Dead, Vol. 5: The Best Defense, 3/5
9. The Walking Dead, Vol. 6: This Sorrowful Life, 4/5
10. The Walking Dead, Vol. 7: The Calm Before, 3/5
Bit of a graphic novel binge there, getting ready for the AMC series to resume soon. Just one more volume to finish off the compendium I have on hand. :)
Suzanne, if I read all those books I wouldn't sleep for a year my head would be so filled with nightmares...lol
I love horror, but it gets to me more now than it used to. (I read horror voraciously as a teenager!) I have to read other stuff in between to make sure I don't lose a lot of sleep. :D
16. Ghosty Men: The Strange but True Story of the Collyer Brothers and My Uncle Arthur, New York's Greatest Hoarders, 2/517. The Happiest Toddler on the Block: The New Way to Stop the Daily Battle of Wills and Raise a Secure and Well-Behaved One- to Four-Year-Old, 2/5
Two duds. :P
22. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, 3/523. The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer: My Life at Rose Red, 3/5
26. Third Culture Kids: Growing Up Among Worlds, 3/527. Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking, 5/5
28. The Bells, 5/5

Suzanne, I hadn't heard of "The Power of Introverts". Maybe I was talking too loud.
Seriously, I tend to be introverted and often felt out of place at work as a customer service department manager. I found my ideal environment when I went to work as an office manager in an R&D company surrounded by scientists and engineers (most of whom are rather quiet).
Anyway, I think I'll read this one sooner rather than later!
Kay, it sounds like it will resonate with you for sure. I'm glad you found a better work environment, too. The author mentioned that even in companies that want to foster collaboration, there is a new push to provide space for people to work with minimal interaction if they wish. Anyway, lots of great food for thought -- I still think about that book often in my day to day interactions with people. I hope you enjoy it, too! :)
29. Last Chance to See, 5/5 (reread)30. The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, 5/5
31. Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time, 1/5
32. Before I Go To Sleep, 3/5

Absolutely, and she offers a lot of support to the idea that it is in a company's best interest to have some diversity in personality types. Too many risk-takers, for example, can be devastating! I hope the book gets a lot of attention. My sister said the author gave a talk at the ALA convention she went to and the room was packed -- I'll take that as a good sign. :)
33. Who Goes There? and Other Stories, 3/5
34. The Hungry Ocean: A Swordboat Captain's Journey, 3/5
Suzanne, I read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay for another GR group. At first I was like I have no interest in this book or comics. I ended up loving it though!!
Yes, I was supposedly on that read with you guys! I'm the same Suzanne that fell far behind and ended up posting comments on the thread ages after everyone else had already finished. Oh well. :)It was great though. Chabon's writing is amazing!
Oh my goodness! I am a dope :) I thought I read it with another GR group and not 75's...lol I am so sorry! I'm glad you finished though :)
No, you're not, hehe... I'm one of your Chunkster people! I read it over there with you guys. Well, until I fell waaaaay behind. :)
NOW, I really am an idioT!..lol I've just not been spending enough time on Goodreads and I have lost track of everything. I'm so sorry for being a complete dummy!
Haha, no worries, Andrea! Like I said, I was quiet... I wouldn't expect you to remember me! :D Good to see you back here though.40. The Yellow Wall-Paper, 5/5
41. 84, Charing Cross Road, 4/5
42. Imagine: How Creativity Works, 3/5
Ohhh I loved 84 Charing Cross Road! Then I saw the movie and I loved it even more! I'm so glad to see that you like it :)
I'm also pretty sure that I red Yellow Wall-Paper.

the sequel, The Duchess of Bloomsbury Street is very good too!
84 Charing Cross Road totally got me. Loved it. It also made me want to buy some stationary write letters to people about books. Who wants one? :)I just ordered a cheapie copy of the follow-up from Amazon -- thanks for the rec! I'll have to track down a copy of the film, too. Can't believe I'd never heard of this one until recently!
44. Bringing Up Bébé: One American Mother Discovers the Wisdom of French Parenting, 4/545. I Am Legend, 4/5
46. The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business, 2/547. The Secret of the Haunted Mirror, 3/5 (lol)
48. The Perks of Being a Wallflower, 4/5
49. Shadow Show: All-New Stories in Celebration of Ray Bradbury, 4/5
53. The Fire in Fiction: Passion, Purpose and Techniques to Make Your Novel Great, 5/554. Bare Bones: Conversations on Terror with Stephen King, 3/5
Still haven't read it yet -- I loved the first one though. :)57. The Collector, 5/5
58. Blind Descent: The Quest to Discover the Deepest Place on Earth, 2/5
59. The Trap, 3/5
I hope so! I always slow down around the holidays, but maybe I can get a little bit ahead if I don't choose too many long books.
I know just how that is, I've been in a big slump. I seem to be red hot reading right now though. You never can tell what is going to distract you or for how long. Usually for me when I am busy at work I can't focus on reading. I'm busy now though and doing ok so we'll see...hahah
