What characters were the most believable? The most unbelievable?

Alisha Rivera | 145 comments I think I was most intrigued by Amelia. When she was first introduced, I immediately began to think of her has autistic. She kept to herself, never spoke, nothing was expected of her. Really- the not speaking was what really led me to believe that.

Then, there was a line in there somewhere (I think when she first went to school) about something that was beyond what she could understand.

Even when she spoke the first few times, her speech was so simple and basic, I was still convinced of autism.

However, in the later parts, when she was older, besides not talking often, there was nothing there that seemed out of the ordinary. So, I scrapped my original theory, and was just kind of perplexed by her. I'm not sure if the author intended to portray something similar to autism in the beginning, or if she just tried to introduce a quirky character. Either way- I spent much of the book trying to figure Amelia out.

My favorite or the most believable character was Marcus. He remained very quiet, but having been childhood friends, and someone that loved her inspite of her size to a "cool friend" to have parents or friends that didn't sway him to have a different belief system.

I also really liked Amelia, and to have guilt be a part that took apart their friendship broke my heart. I would have thought that Amelia could have seen beyond that but then too, she couldn't live with herself after what she and Robert did to her best friend Truly. Seems money was of more value than friendship in this case.

I guess the most unbelievable would be Serena Jane and Robert Morgan. King and Queen of Jerkville. Didn't like either one of them, and due to how cruel they actually were to the people around then made them less believable to me.
