So much mythology and so little time! What are your favorite Shapeshifter myths?

I like bird shifters...I just think it would be really cool to just leap out the window and fly around for awhile...much better than driving everywhere! I always like it when the animal they can shift into is directly affected by their personality too.

I love bird shifters too - we actually have a hawk shifter in this book! Jace's boyfriend (Jace is a horseshifter) is a hawk-shifter. I see both of them eventually filling a bigger role in the book. Both men are such loving characters and I think the bird and the horse really fit their personalities.

So - hypothetical question - but if your pet were a shifter, what kind of character would he/she be?
