I pick Xander. I always love his character. He doesn't hold back but he keeps things. His personality is balance. And I think he's the most perfect character in the series.

Agreed. Ky is too closed off. He doesn't let many people in and quite frankly, I have never liked his character.

After reading the second book, I definitely say Xander. I didn't like Ky too much in this book.

In the first book Ky's character was mysterious. And I thought in the second book maybe some of his mysteries would be revealed. But it wasn't. He was still a mystery.

I like Ky the best because he is smarter and seems like a good guy. Even though he keeps to himself, you have to remember all of the things his character has gone through.

I loved Xander in the first book, and I thought Ky was such a jerk for trying to persuade Cassia to like him. I think Xander deserves someone better than Cassia though because he is so sweet and Cassia left him. I also like Ky, but it made me so angry that he was going to let Cassia go by herself to the rebellion and he wasn't going to go with her!

I just finished the book and i think she will pick Xander even though they make it seem like she will stay with Ky.

I read the first book when it first came out and in that book I really wanted her to be with Xander, the whole best friends all their life thing really had me routing for him, until somewhere in the middle. But I still wasn't sure, but after finishing the second book when that one came out, I want her to be with Ky they went through so much to find eachother, and I really believe they belong to one another. I still love Xander and maybe my mind will change in the next one, but for now it's definitely Ky!

Agreed with what has been said previously, after reading the second book Xander is definitely in the lead.

I say Xander. I've liked him since the very beginning. Probably something to do with the whole best friends bit. Ky never really did it for me. I started to warm towards him in 'Crossed' but I prefer Xander.

Ky... because Cassia and him are both madly in love. I think Cassia loves Xander, but only as a close friend, one she's known all her life. If Ky wasn't around, she would obviously end up with Xander. I think Xander and Indie will fall in love in the third book, though... you know how Cassia realized Indie was 'in love' with Xander? (Though I don't know how Indie could do that just by looking at Xander's microcard. To my knowledge, they have never met...)

Also how can you all pick Xander after the 2nd book? He was barely in it. Plus Cassia and Ky went through so much together and just grew more deeply in love because of it. Ky was even willing to join the Rising, if only to make Cassia happy!

I think I like Xander better. He seems more...in control of himself. Ky can sometimes be harsh, and irrational about his actions, and I don't think that that's the best. That doesn't mean I don't like him, it's just that if I were in Cassia's place, I'd probably choose my best friend, not some stranger that is easy to look at. Also, Xander seems to know what he's doing and always has a plan.

Totally agree with you.
A man without control is definitely one to look out for.
I don't think Cassia or Indie should get Xander though. He's better than the both of them in my opinion.
I don't like Cassia because she's well... pretty boring. And I just really don't like Indie. How can you fall in love with someone without even meeting them? I don't trust this woman. She's an opportunist in my eyes. (yet still the best written character)

I like Xander. I think because cassia in a way has loved him all her life makes him the obvious choice. I also like that even though Xander knows Cassia's feelings for Ky he still hopes to be with her but will help her to be with Ky. He is a good guy and my favorite.

Cassia can't end up with Xander! Then she would be confirming that the Society is right, and both Matched and Crossed are about choices and following your heart. I'm sure that she'll end up with Ky. He gets her the most, and after all that they went through to be together, it would be so sad if they ended up with other people. I'm hoping that Xander ends up with Indie :)

Ky ALL the way...Xander is a really great guy, but he's more on the brother side then boyfriend/husband side. He needs to find another great girl.

Xander. I like Ky's creativity and the sense of freedom about him as he doesn't fit in in the Society. But Xander's loyalty to Cassia, despite her choice, and his intelligence just do it for me.

I'm a fan of Xander. And I have to say that just because she could end up with Xander isn't saying that the Society is right...maybe they figured out the science of matching...lots of people figure things out, it just depends on how it's used.

I think that in the back of her mind, Cassia knows that Xander is who she should be with...I think that Ky presents her with the opportunity to take this journey that her grandfather set her on, that she's taking to help her find who she really is and what sort of cloth she's cut from. It's my opinion that then she will realize there's a reason she and Xander were such good friends before they were matched. They do say friends before lovers.

Yes I completely agree with you on Xander being the one for Cassia and I don't really believe that Ky gets her more than he does. I've liked Xander from the beginning and even though Ky had that whole msyterious thing going on that girls love doesn't mean that it's gonna last. Besides she may think she knows Xander but she needs to pay closer attention.

I don't know! It's hard for me! I like how Xander knows just what to say, and she feels comfortable around her, but Ky is just so mysterious. I DON"T KNOW!
I thinks she likes Ky a lot, but Xander just knows her so well and they have been friends for so long! But what if they are just friends?

We don't know enough about either to make a pick - but Cassia loves Ky in a more romantic way; she loves Xander in a 'feels safe' way, but she only knows what he lets her know. So, although she's always trusted Xander, he really is keeping something from her, because Ky says he knows Xander's secret (I haven't finished Crossed yet). So Ky, although more mysterious, is at least honest about his love for Cassia.

Ky over Xander in the second book. Even though Xander is part of the rising. Cassia will definitely stick with Ky.

KY FOREVER

I am rereading Matched right now... and I realize I really like Xander. It is kind of sad that Cassia so quickly gives him up,overlooks him, when it's so obvious that he has feelings for her. But Ky is still as intriguing as ever...
Oh and he (Ky) is still my choice-- I can't wait til the 3rd book to see how everything will turn out! I hope Xander finds someone (Indie, perhaps?) to turn his adoring affections to. That girl would be one lucky girl. It's just not Cassia. Cassia and Ky forever. :)

... Ughh I love Ky so much. But I cried myself to sleep the night I finished 'Matched' and how she didn't feel the kiss and crap. But Ky was gone! He was her match! AND she loved him. Then again I've only read the first one. I'll never regret her for just leaving him hanging. I love KY<3

Agreed Ky is my pick Xander is too brtherly for my liking who wants to have mediocre love when you can have true love and passion !!!!Ky brings out the best in Cassia inspires her to be all that she can be with no limitations Xander shed be a boring cookie cutter stepford wife with Xander who wants that blah not tosay Xander isnt great he is but hes not great for Cassia in my opinion Xander needs to find that great person for him and sorry to say i dont want it to be Indie either i dont really care for her shes too sneaky for me

Ky is the 'mystery man'. I feel that is the only reason she has 'fallen' for him. She blindly follows him and he doesn't really give himself wholly to her. She is giving him everything, but he is holding back. That's what happens when you follow a guy just for the mystery. He's going to be disenchanted. And part of me thinks that he just went after her because of the competition with Xander. I don't think it was necessarily malicious, but he's so damaged that I don't think he can ever really be with anyone.

Xander, however, loves Cassia for exactly who she is. She hasn't given him the opportunity to let her know all of him and his secrets but he is ALWAYS there for her and will do anything for her. While Cassia at this point will do anything for Ky, I don't think Ky will do anything for her. She's going to learn the hard way. Xander is strong and she will recognize that loving him doesn't necessarily make society right.
