I think Tantor is aiming for the first week of February, but you never know. We're a teensy bit ahead of schedule at the moment, so fingers crossed!
I love the Ice series and On Thin Ice was such a lovely bonus. Can't wait to hear Xe's Finn.Lea, this thread is a great idea. Sometimes a check Audible several times a day hoping to find a surprise.
Oh, and I check Audible "Just Added" rather than the "Romance" -- I've occasionally picked up stuff Audible doesn't get around to putting under romance. Plus, occasionally there'll be a non-romance that I want to listen to. (Very occasionally).
Jayne Ann Kretnz's unabridged Eye of the Beholder is available today at Audible with narrator Jayne Atkinson - in my cassette copy the narrator names herself Jen Taylor - I compared with the sample and it's the same narrator voice.Today Audible released Wicked Widow by Amanda Quick. I was excited to see this, I'd love to replace my cassette copy, until I checked it out at Audible.>>> There's no comparison between the Books on Tape version narrated by Mary Pfifer and The Recorded Books version narrated by Barabara Rosenblatt. Gaelen Foley's One Night of Sin. One of the entries in The Knight Miscellany series.I haven't read Foley's recent releases - I burned out on what seemed to be a changed style when she quit writing for Piatkus Books around 2006. But I enjoyed the Knight series for the most part and hope this means the entire series will be picked up by Audible. My two favorite Foley books are part of this series, The Duke and Lord of Ice.
Also, Audible recently released her Prince Charming. I hope this means another of my Foley favorites, The Pirate Prince, will be picked up as well since they both are entries into The Ascension Trilogy.
Gaelen Foley's Lord of Ice is available at Audible today! Loved in print. I don't know narrator Emma Greene (looks like her first) but I'm buying and starting today. Fingers crossed!
audible now has the last 2 books in Gabaldon's Outlander series that weren't available through them...previously they were only available on CD for $80 and $140 for them respectively

Audiofile has added a newsletter called Editor's Picks to their enews. At the bottom is a list of new and upcoming releases. I was told that the accuracy is dependent on what the publishers provide (which may not include every single book) but it's an additional resource. They've added another Lorraine Heath book on Audible, The Outlaw and the Lady. I missed it in the search the day they released it, but noticed it yesterday. The narrator is another new one, so I'll be anxious to find out if she's any good.
I just got an email from Audible saying they were finishing up recording TANGLED LIES, one of my very favorite old, old Harlequins, and wanted to know how to pronounce my name. After slavering with joy I asked about narrator and when it's going to be available. Yippee!!!And we still haven't struck a deal for the second two Kristina Douglas books, but Tantor hasn't said no, so my agent is working on it.
Yea! I hope that we will see many more of your older titles soon! I'll buy them all. :)

The Audible guy didn't know details (though they were just finishing up the recording). He thought a couple of months until it was out, and said he'd let me know if he heard more. I'm hoping it'll be unabridged -- I think HQ books are coming out unabridged nowadays. Fingers crossed -- I really loved that book.
Krissie your message makes me smile so much. I have noticed that they release far fewer abridged novels lately. (thankfully!) I imagine they don't sell much anymore. I will be looking for it. But Brenda will likely spot it first :)

From your post to Tantor's ears, I hope! There are a couple more books in this series -- I read #2 for fun last year and it's another juicy one!
Karen, I will be commenting on Tantor thread, as well. Something About You is a hugely popular book, I didnt think I'd get the chance to hear it in audio. I'm really happy that Tantor has their eye on what readers want to hear. I am going to post on our Tantor thread, and I'm sending them a request for Pamela Clare books (Julie James and Pamela Clare would make a fine investment)
Yoru narration cannot really be disputed as objectively great. You are so funny in the James books, and a consummate professional. I need to go through my audiobooks to see what else I have that you've narrated.

Not quite a new release but news of upcoming new releases of old releases: in an interview for June Is Audiobook Month, Susan Ericksen said she is going to re-record books 11 - 17 of J.D. Robb's In Death series. I've heard a lot of people in the forum comment on the difference in narration from where she started at book 11 and the earlier books that were actually recorded later.

Brittany, I think if more narrators knew what lovely and kind (and obviously of good taste) ladies you all are, they'd be here all the time. I know I've learned a great deal paying attention to what's important to you all as listeners and I'm glad that the publishers are listening as well.
I truly appreciate your praise -- really gives me a sometimes needed boost!

OK, not sure if this is the place to post this or not...Several asked what the new series is that I'll be narrating so...
It's not "new" per se, but new to audio, with potential for the upcoming 2012 release in the series to also make it into audio. Series is The Chesapeake Diaries series, by Mariah Stewart, starting with Coming Home - produced by Tantor.
Gotta say that I'm thoroughly enjoying prepping these! Great mix of "cozy" and "suspense," which I didn't expect. Characters are interesting and well drawn, and I love the snippets of diary entries from the nigh-omnipotent narrator, Grace.
Anyway, that's the news!
Just found out that Tantor picked up books 2 & 3 in Julie Jame's FBI series: A Lot Like Love and About That Night and I will be working hard to get them done asap. Thanks to those who asked for more Julie James!

Tangled Lies by Anne Stuart just showed up on Audible this morning. This is one of my favorites. I hope the narration is good - the narrator is another new one. All of these new narrators make me nervous. You never know when you'll get a good one, and for my favorite books, I'd really just like a tried-and-true narrator sometimes.There were a couple of other Anne Stuarts added today, too.
I saw Still Lake and Into the Fire as well. We've waited a long time for these and hope to see many more! I think I'll start with Tangled Lies. I haven't read it.

Each day I check for Audible's latest romance releases and I must admit that some of the best romances out there are in this "digital only" category. But even with my daily checks I miss some of the new releases as Audible is also not great at categorization.
So, this thread...let's use this thread to announce those digital releases as they become available over at Audible as you find them, okay? They can either be a totally new book to audio or a previous CD/tape format that is now only available through individual sellers.
Here's an example:
Today Audible released Wicked Widow by Amanda Quick. It was available in CD format years ago and now is available only through resell - $125 for a new copy and starts around $25 for a used copy.
And another:
Harlequin is good at releasing audiobooks without any sort of previous notice. Delilah Marvelle's Forever and a Day was released on 1/01. The PB was released on 12/20/11 with no audio hard release (CDs).
You don't need to include all the details but we miss many titles unless you lurk regularly at Audible. Some of the best romance titles from authors such as Julie James, Rachel Gibson, and Joanna Bourne just showed up one day at Audible. So, let's share the fun of our discoveries.
