After graduation from Harvard Law School, I labored in the vineyards of the law for more than three decades. I lived and worked in Europe for a number of years. Work and pleasure took me to more than thirty countries on five continents. I always aspired to writing poetry and did so for over twenty years before the well went dry. My poetry can be found and read (for free) at http://rleeholz.com. After a few years of writing nothing, I suddenly decided to write a novel. Previously, I felt that writing a novel would require more research than I wanted to do and more work in the writing than I could do. In the course of thinking about writing a novel, I began to conceive of a story that came to have a life of its own. The book demanded to be written. Although this first effort was abortive (too long, too chaotic), I found that, thanks to the Net and Google, research was easy and fun. I also found that the writing was a joy. I was hooked! Since then I’ve written a bunch of novels (most of them are listed on my website) and published three that can be found here on GR under my GR Author’s Profile for those who are interested. I continue to write new books and suspect that I will eventually also rework most of the completed but unpublished books into publishable form.Lee Holz
