The Lake:

Avery sat upon her special tree, watching her sister, Angel, play. She liked to sit up here, and just admire the beauty of the forest. Wait, not THE forest. HER forest. She smiled to herself, liking the fact that she could say that. They both had a new home, and she loved it. It almost made her forget about her parents..

Angel smiled, tackling and running after her tail, her mind had already ventured.. She looked up at Avery. *Hehe, come play!*
Angel pulled out her wings, and hovered swirling around Averys "Special" Tree.
*Come on!!*

Avery rolled her eyes at her sisters childishness, but a part of her really did want to go play for a little while.

"Alright, alright! I'm coming!" Avery yelled down. Then she jumped off of the branch, changing into the wolf that she was just before she reached the ground. Almost 7 years of being half wolf, and the change still makes her heart race. She was pitch black, with the same purple eyes she posesses as a human.

((Oh, and Angel? I have to leave at 10:30 :#))

Angel smiled and ran at Avery tongue out of her mouth, on the edge. She was smiling wide. *Incoming!*
She might seem childish.. But she had to keep her sister a kid. They're not full grown adults. Kids have fun, its a need..

When Angel knocked Avery down she fell to the ground. Hard. Wow, She thought, Angel is a lot more stronger than she lets on. She pushed Angel off of her and started running into the open meadow up ahead, where there would be plenty of room to run around.

Angel shook her head, knocking off the leaves. She smiled wide and dashed off after Avery.
Ha. Angel thought. Our life isn't so bad. We've got it better than most people. Angel thought again. But the thought of her parents made her wince, and look to the right sadly while running. She shook her head and sped up. Running beside Avery *Your so dead.*

Avery turned around and saw Angel subtly wince, which made her a little worried. Maybe she shouldn't be playing, there was work to do anyway. NO! She shook her head violently. She needs this. She needs to relax. So she kept running. Faster and faster. Somewhere in the back of her mind she heard Avery threaten her with the usual You're so Dead comment. She just ran faster as her own personl response. When she turned her head back to the front of her..

BAM!

She ran headfirst into a tree. *Oww..* She thought. She tried to stand up and shake it off, but it didn't work. When you have the power to manipulate people's minds, your own brain is very fragile. Her head was spinning. Was everything supposed to be split in half?

((I have to go now. Remember, get on at 10 in the morning tomorrow. Okay?))

Angel watched Avery speed up, I smiled when she looked back, I noticed the tree in front of her *Wa-* She was going to say Watch out.. But. Of course, knowing Avery. She already ran facefirst into a tree.
I shook my head, laughing and looking down. When I looked up. Something was wrong. Of course I figured.
Well, there was.
Angel ran up to her and turned human, not remembering to fold in her wings. She rested her hands and cuffed them into her wolfy cheeks. "Avery? You Okay?"
Angel was so scared. Was Avery going to be okay? Yeah of course. Avery was Always okay. She thought scared..

Lexi howled, her lonliness following her into her wolf form.She padded on the soft moss getting closer to the lake where she would cool off.She had been running almost all day. She didn't know what she was running from.The pain?The sadness?She couldn't decide.

Avery transformed back into the adorable teenager she was, she tried to avoid Angel's eyes. Avery always hated being the weak one.

"Yeah, I'm f-fine." She stuttered, trying to ignore the horrible throbbing in her head. That was when she heard it. The Howl. Her and Angel looked at eachother, then back at the trees. Since when were there other wolves here?

Her first thought was anger. This was her and her sisters forest! They got there first! Right? Then Avery was blinded by the joyous discovery of seeing another wolf. Even if the wolf is only a wolf, it didn't matter. The only word that popped into Avery's mind was: Friend.

Angel stared at her, and Avery could only make out a few thoughts that were swirling in her sisters head. |...Hope...Avery...Okay...Wolf...Howl...| Avery blinked back into her own mind, frustrated. Why weren't her powers working as good anymore? She could never actually read your mind, but she was normally able to get a better idea of what you were thinking. Maybe Angel wasn't thinking anything. She tried not to smile.

Angels ears stood up quickly at the sound of another's howl. Finally, someone new. Maybe Angel could joke around, and play with this new person.
Angel pulled back her ears, and howled..
Maybe this person would follow the howl?
Angel smiled at the thought, and stood next to Avery. Tall and proud. . .

"Nice job." Avery smiled, still human. She reached over and petted Angel's muzzle.

Angel rubbed her side against Avery, like a cat.
*I hope its someone fun.* Angel looked up at Avery.

Avery closed her eyes, trying to reach the strangers mind. She didn't know how far away this wolf could be, but it was worth a shot. Nothing happened.

She replayed the howl over and over again in her mind. "She sounded sad.." She said, looking down at Angel.

*Maybe she's alone?* Angel looked up at Avery's face.
Angel frowned. *I think she ran off, at the thought of other wolves. Maybe as a threat? Or maybe she was hungry, and ran the other way to do something?
Angel's happiness of a new member suddenly vanished. No new friend. . .

Avery considered the possibilities, but she doubted them. The howl was powerful, and intense. It gave her goosebumps. "I guess. Hey wanna run over to the Lake?" She asked, suddenly excited. She hadn't had water in hours. . .and her head still hurt.

*Um? Who wouldn't want water?* Angel suddenly turned human again, with her favorite dirty shirt and jeans. She smiled, pulling out her wings. "We can fly there, I'll take you there!" Angel winked.

Avery bit her lip. "You know I don't like flying, A. Besides it's not far, I'll run." She said.

Angel smiled, "Thats no fun!" Angel picked up Avery and soared above the sky. Angel held Aver close, not daring to drop her. "Its okay. I wont let you die."
Angel still had a big smile on her face, as the wind blew in her face. God I love wings, Angel thought.

How comforting, Avery thought. She didn't say it though because she was too busy screaming. "Angel! Put me down! NOW!" She covered her eyes with her hands.

"Your gonna want to use those hands, to hold onto me woman." Angel hovered over the Lake. "Get ready!" Angel pulled in her wings, and dove down facefirst into the Lake, with Avery tight in her arms.

Avery dove into the water, instantly loving the feeling of it on her skin. It reminded her that she isn't ALL wolf. She can still be just Avery. However, she refused to give Angel the satisfactory of the fact that she enjoyed it. "You...you..!" She reached over to her little sis and pushed her under the water, smiling and laughing. She quickly tried to swim as fast as she could away from her.

Angel coughed up some water as soon as she reached the surface after Avery's pushing fit.
Angel went airborn or however its said. When u spring out of the water, wings out. Giving you a lift. She hovered, and flew over to Avery.
SPLASH!
Angel had thrown herself in front of Avery in a cannonball. Making a huge tide. Plunging Avery under the water. She felt the water trickle her skin, as her body filled with so much happiness, She finally surfaced slowly. Feeling the soft breeze.

Avery splashed Angel, as punishment for all of those unnecessary waves she made. Then something touched her foot. "Ahh!" She screamed, swimming as fast as she could to Angel. Just seaweed, she told herself. It's just seaweed. Wait, is there even seaweed in a lake? Avery shivered.

Angel saw Avery's weird expression after she swam away, She got out of the water. Then viewed the whole Lake. Seeing something weird near Avery. "Avery.. whats's that?" Soon Angel was ready to pick up Avery and fly back to the special tree. It didn't seem right.

"Uh. . . probably nothing. Let's look for that other wolf now." Avery said, trying to change the subject.

((As she swam towards her, angel then got out of the water for a moment**))

((Gotta get off in 10 minutes D:))

Angel smiled, pulling Avery up. and near her. Not far from the monsters reach. She whispered "What do you think it is?"

((NUUU D: Willl u be bac?))

|. . .monster. . .| "Monster? It's not a monster, dude. It's just. . .I don't know. . .a fish? Oh whatever. Comeon let's look for the Howler." Avery suggested.

Hmm. Angel dropped Avery by the shore. "I'm gonna go check it out." Angel winked and flew over. She pulled a huge branch from the tree. As she poked it. Something unexpected happened..
The monster leaped at Angel, Appearing out of the water. "Ah! Avery!"

((Yeah, maybe around late afternoon or when it starts getting dark.))

Avery rushed to the water, first grabbing the branch that Angel had in her hand. "Angel! Hold on!"

When she whacked the alligator with the branch, nothing happened. Not that she was surprised. Instead she used something far more powerful then physical objects alone. She strained to lock eyes with the animal, because that was the only way it would work. The alligator bit Angel's wing, and Angel squealed in pain. Avery tried harder.

((I got to go. Don't type a word until I'm back, I wanna be the one to save you. :P Unless Utau saves you first...but still. brb in a few hours. ;D))

Lexi was a few minutes away from the lake when she smelled something.Wolf. She thought angrily.There were other wolves here?!?She sniffed the air again and smelled something fishy.Then, she heard someone squeal in pain.Alligator!She thought, sprinting towards the lake.A snarl errupted from her throat and she sprang at the alligator when she was close enough.She dodged it's attempts to bite her, but she had the advantage of suprise and the fact that she was a very expirenced wolf in the world of trying to be killed.She lunged to bite the gator's neck when it bit her paw, and wouldn't open it's mouth.She whined in pain, but managed to push through it.Somebody tap it's mouth......She thought desprately.She was afraid if she changed to her human form that she would lose some of her advantages.

Angel was astonished at the wolf pouncing and biting the alligator. When it had bit her paw, it had leg go of her wing, Although Angel wasnt good flying with one wing. She smacked the Alligator until it let her go. Angel grabbed Avery and The wolf. Holding them tightly. She flew to the shore fast before she'd fall. She turned her back to the ground so they wouldn't get hit by the impact and skidding of the ground. Closing her eyes. Then they hit the ground.

Lexi panicked her first instinct was to make these people forget who she was and that they had ever seen her, but she was stopped when she remembered how lonely she was.Maybe she could give them a chance.

Angel swallowed hard, and when she had let them go. She noticed Avery was knocked out.. She got up as quickly as possible, to not seem weak to the stranger. But her wing aced and she staggered. *M-My names. Angel.* Angel pointed to Avery. *Thats my sister Avery* She sat down and pulled in her wing, looking at the huge blood splat.

((Ached**))

Lexi shifted to her human form."My name is Lexi."She said softly, but still strong.Her hand was bleeding and it didn't look too pretty.She looked at Avery.She could easily escape having to help these people...She could just make them forget.....No.Avery thought to herself.She was an alpha.These people weren't apart of her pack, but she should still help them."We should clean off our wounds.There is a small stream up a bit north of here, if you don't want to risk another alligator attack."

Angel smiled "Nice choice." She winked. "We haven't seen anyone around her lately.
Angel picked up Avery and threw her over her back. "We have lived her quite a while. We live just near here. The small forest. Big trees, And a huge one in the middle. Avery's 'Special' Tree."
Angel smiled, Well. She's in her own pack I guess. She seems nice..
Avery had always taught Angel to be alert and on guard. But Angel was just being a kid,trying to make a new friend.

Lexi nodded."I don't really live anywhere.I've been traveling around."She said, leading the way to the stream.She was still bleeding, but she pushed through the pain.

"huh, Me and Avery have been runaways since we were 7. we're 14 now." Angel was glad to talk to someone other than her sister..

Lexi nodded."I've been living like this since I was 9.I'm 16 now."

"Nicee." Angel feels young, and ends up laughing. Looking like a total idiot.

Lexi smiled."We should hurry.The blood on you wing will dry and get matted into your feathers."

"Your right. Angel held onto Avery tight, And ran. "WATER!"

Lexi spotted the stream."There it is."She said, washing her hand off with the cool water.
