Emma sat, smiling, behind her desk. It was small and rickety but she didn't mind, it held all her books just the same. She looked around as other students began filing in, searching for her friends.

"Hi, Mia," Emma called, not fearful of getting in trouble. The professor was an old, toothless, wizened man with the hearing of a slug.
'Wow, I will surely make an attendance record this year! Swaroop said as he entered Muggle Studies class and took a seat behind Emma.
Emma turned as Swaroop walked in and sat in the desk behind her. "Hey," she said.
'Hey! Don't be so involved in studies! Doesn't look good in final year and sets a bad example for juniors .It's time you start enjoying' Swaroop said and laughed.

"Hey," Emma replied. "Hi, Naomi," she smiled, before turning back to Swaroop. "I guess you're right," she admitted. "We're supposedly working in partners in class today to create an oral presentation about muggle transportation. Want to work together?" she asked him.

"Hi-" she started to say, but then she realized she was out of the conversation. "Oh well," she thought. "That's the longest conversation I've had in a long time." She went back to reading.
"Great," Emma said, pulling out her textbook. "Any idea what chapter?" she asked.
James entered the room, and sat down, pulling his books out, and smiling all the while. He turned his attention up to the board, and wondered what they would do today.
He picked up his charms book, even though it was Muggle Studies class and started reading fast, sucking in all the information he could before class started.

Their teacher, an youngish plump lady stood before the class and smiled brightly at them. 'Morning Class! Today...we wil be discussing the uses of...a Rubber Duck!"
Mia goaned inwardley. She knw all this already, her nanny had been a muggle for crying in a bucket.

Emma wrote: ""Great," Emma said, pulling out her textbook. "Any idea what chapter?" she asked."
'Don't make me feel embarrassed by asking the chapter number. Its all your department,I'm here only to help you occasionally when you feel lost somewhere ' Swaroop said and laughed.

Devon was sitting in a desk at the back of the room. He wasn't paying attention to the teacher, more interested in reading the daily prophet.
James lazily looked up from his book. "Really? A rubber duck? Why not something more interesting, like a 22 shotgun, or something?" he asked the professor.

"Shut up," Emma laughed, lightly punching him in the arm as she flipped to the table of contents in her textbook. "It's chapter 11."

The proffessor looked at Devon, "More interesting than a Rubber Duck?!" She gasped.
Mia smorted into her book, finding the whole subject highly amusing.

James shrugged. "Muggles use rubber ducks as playthings in the bath. But Muggles use a 22 shotgun to shoot others in the face. It's like an unforgivable curse... Which is more interesting?" he asked, a eyebrow quirked.
She looked thoughtfull for a moment, weighing this new perspective against her own. "Well...yes, I suppose it is..."
James nodded, very thankful. "Hmmhm. They take small metal bullets, and they shot out of the barrel, and it kills someone on impact, if you do it right. Isn't that fascinating?!" he smiled.

Devon shrugged, "There's an article about a wizard who enchanted a duck to swim in a lake ,and how all the muggles had to have their memories wiped. I figured it was relevant."

Lily padded into class late, trying to not be noticed by the professor. She almost didnt see James as she went to find a seat. But then, she heard his voice and slunk under the tables over to him. she plucked his pant leg to try and get his attention.
James looked down at the cat, and picked it up, sitting it down on his table. "Hello you beautiful thing." he didn't realize it was Lily, until the scent of the small cat reached his nose, and he remembered the dance, and the smell of Lily. He smiled, and pecked her nose. "Hello Tiger Lily." he purred.
"Hmm!" The professor said brightly. "Alright class, who wants to take a stab at telling us som facts about Muggle Guns?"
Mia stretched a hand hesitantly into the air. "Proffessor, I know you get all different types of guns. EVerything from small revolvers, to handguns, to shotguns, and Oh! Even sniper rifles. Which are precision guns, that can be shot from a really long distance." She exlaimed, getting more comfortable the more she talked about a subject she actually knew something about.
((Since I'm RPing the professor and I'm a mod, I'll dish out points to everyone.))
"Very good Mia! My, that is ver interesting! 20 Points for Gryffindor!"

'Oh so chapter 11 it is ! For a second imagine we were muggles and this chapter was named Emma meets Swaroop. How great that would be? And what story would it tell ?'Swaroop said to Emma and smiled.

James smiled. "Snipers are amazing. I've seen someone crouch on a building roof, miles away from their target, and- if they're any good- hit it right on the mark! The FBI uses Snipers, and I think you need a special license to use one..." he wondered.
Emma laughed at Swaroop's comment and began skimming the chapter. When she had finished, she looked up at Swaroop. "I didn't retain a word of that," she said, slamming the textbook shut.
"Yeah, I think you do! My dads and Auro, but he worked with the FBI that, and he was a sniper. He could shoot from so far away!" Mi said, smiling proudly.
James looked over at her, not believing that this girls dad was once a sniper. "That's actually amazing..." he didn't know her name! "Did he play with rubber ducks in the tub?" he asked sarcastically, trying to prove that guns were much more amazing that rubber ducks.
'And I was just lost thinking of all the wonderful moments since we met' Swaroop said and laughed.'Occasionally I had a glance at your book too' he added and smiled mischievously.

"Can't we just skip class?" Emma asked. "Why don't you make up some Quad-Wizard Champion excuse," she said, yawning widely. "We could head back to the dorm."

"I was up until 4 am finishing it," Emma said, stifling another yawn.

"IRIS YOU BETTER FINISHES THIS ESSAY OR YOUR EXPELLED!" She mocks in a very nasely voice, then breaks out laughing.
"Nice imitation," Emma complemented her.

"Don't let Professor Snape catch you looking like that," Emma said.
"He would provably die of rage," Emma added.
James sat up straight. "And what would Dumbledoor do? He would laugh." he said, answering his own question.

"It would cause a fuss, and you'd loose a lot of house points, but in the end nothing bad would occur!" James smirked.

'I am here to give you company,I could have skipped the class easily! We can escape now if you like to' Swaroop said to Emma.

"Let's go," Emma said without hesitation.
"I think I'll be on my way, also." James sais, taking suit with them. He stood and picked up his bag, waving goodbye to everyone. "Thank you for teaching us, Professor." He added as he walked out of the room.
