Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry discussion

Sol saunters through the courtyard, laughing to himself as girls stare at him. He enjoyed the attention but wished it would only last. He longed for a real, steady relationship. A cute girl wouldn't be so bad either.

Death wandered the courtyard aimlessly. So many boys asked her to the dance she had to make a list, even though when she passed some boys, they would start whispering. Rolling her eyes, she spotted some other boys across from her. She stopped when she accidentily bumped into Sol. "Sorry." she muttered and began to walk away.

"Hey! What's your name?" Sol inquired of her.

Death stopped and turned around. "Er, hi... My name is really long, but other people call me Death." Death felt stupid standing before him. She had never introduced herself properly, letalone someone ask who she was. "I'm in Gryffindor." She said, brushing her hair out of her eyes.

Death stared at Sol. "Are you a third year? I am."
She realised she knew his name; it was on the tip of her tongue... "Are you... Could you... Err, sorry. Umm... What's your name?" she asked awkwardly. She turned her head and saw other girls giving her death glares and gossiping.

Jenna lazily strolled into the courtyard reading a book, wandering aimlessly, she spotted Sol talking to Death and turned away, walking toward the other side of the courtyard, ducking her head a bit.

"I'm Sol. It's nice to meet you... Death. I'm a 6th year and in Ravenclaw." He paused for a while, not quite knowing what to say. This was one of the rare times where he was caught unawares by a lady. With Death, he felt something special, even though she was substantially younger than him.
"Um, I don't suppose you're going to the dance?" He decided to jump right into the subject he most wanted to discuss.

"I wish. So many boys have already asked me i had to make a list. Lets see, 25 boys have asked me. Sadly, I don't like any of them." Death sighed taking out her list.

Emma walked over. "Who do you want to go with?" she asked curiously.

"Well, none of the boys that follow me around, that's for sure." Death said lightly.

At his offhand comment from Death, Sol internally winced. He certainly didn't want to look like a stalker.
"I know what that's like," he finally said. "Sometimes the girls pestering me can become annoying." Sol was attempting to relate to the girl. He wanted to make sure she didn't feel alone. This meant that he had to drop his charade.

She looked away from Emma and stared at Sol with round eyes. "Really? Has any of them asked you to the dance?" Death said with shock. She hsd no idea there was other people who had stalker fans. Well, as many as she did.

Nora walked in looking extra pretty to see if Sol would notice her she sits down and looks around like she had no purpose being there but she actually wanted Sol to ask her then she sees Sol talking with Death. "Great she says under her breath he is probably going with her she stood up flattened out her dress whipped back her curly hair and waited if Sol would stroll over

Death turned around and saw Nora stroll by fuming. "I think someone wants your attention." Death said and pointed to Nora. "Did she ask you to the dance?" Death repeated her question to Sol.

Nora waited patiently in her dress curly hair and makeup she then grabbed deaths arm she pulled her over to a corner. Death are you going with Sol?

"OUCH!" Death winced. "What was that for? Oh, I THINK HE WAS ABOUT TO ASK something like that. "Why"? she asked and tore her arm away from Nora. "What's with the fancy dress?"

Death knew that Nora was a sweet girl. Ohhh my gosh sooo sorry about that Her voice turned to a whisper The reason I asked is because I really want to go with him Ihave no other choice. Thats why I am wearing the fancy dress I want to get his attention but if he wants to ask you... Just can you please help me I am soo desperate!!

"Ugh... I still have to check my list. I might add him if he asks, but he's 3 years older than me. I don't think he'll ask." Death muttered and showed Nora the list with 25 boys' names.

Ok thanks for all the help she muttered in a bored voice how do you have 25 boys names I dont even have one!!

Slowly Nora the one in the pretty short dress nice earings beautiful curly hair, shoes, and makeup walks up to Sol. Hi ummm.. I was wondering if you would like to go to the dance with me. Nora could feel her face reddining up as she spoke.

"Honestly, I have no clue whatsoever. When they announced the dance the moment I step out of the door they're all sying: `Oh, Death, can you go to the dance with me?`" Death snickered. "Seriously, they freaked me out." She walked back over to Sol and repeated her question: "has anyone asked you to the dance yet?"

Alexis and Mia walked into the courtyard and saw Sol standing in the middle of the courtyar, looking slightly lost. Death and Nora were off to one side whispering.
"Hey." Alexis said walking up to Sol. "Whats going on?" She asked.

Sol noticed Nora flaunting herself in front of him. She was gorgeous, but he didn't think he would go to the dance with her; he was liking this Death girl.
"Yes," he said answering Death's question. "It's really strange though." What should I say? he thought.

"Well, Alexis, those girls seem to be fighting about something."

"Evidently so..." She replied. looking at the arguing girls.
"Do you know about what?" She asked after observing them for another moment.

"It started when the dance was mentioned. Otherwise it beats me."

Nora walked back up "Sooo Sol are you going with me"

Death giggled. "Do you have a list like me?" she said in amusement. She was smiling.

"Nora, I didn't even ask you," Sol said as kindly as possible. "I was going to ask someone else."
He glanced over at Death for a second. He was turning red and losing all confidence.

"Wow....that was straight forward." Alexis said, giving Nora a 'thumbs-up'.

"I think I made it pretty clear. I mean, I like you Nora, but I'm asking someone else."

Matthew strode into the courtyard and noticed Nora's hurt expression. The girl's face was downcast. "Hi, I'm Matthew," he said to Nora, holding out his hand.

Death stared at Sol in shock. She thought for sure he would ask Nora.

Alexis cleared her throat....This was getting awkward.

Sol gradually separated Death from the group when Matthew came up.
"I knowwe've just met and all, but I would really like it if you'd come to the dance with me," Sol said shyly.

Nora looked at him in amazement. She dropped a pink note that was heart shaped.Forget the note she said hoarse. It would have been if you went with me. This is my seconed rejection she said with tears streaming down her cheeks. You made it worse. Now crying so hard her head hurt she looked at him one more time. She took a deep breath. I gotta go she said wincing my heart is hurting to much. She lkicked off her high heels wiped off her makeup with a tissue and flung off all her jewlery. Here Death you can have this when you go to the ball with Sol.

Sol was shocked at Nora's tears. But she should know better that guys don't like that kind of desperate girl, he thought. Maybe I should go after her and apologize.

Now it was just Mathew and Alexis standing in the courtyard, wih Sol and Death a little way away.

"Wow." Was all Alexis said.

"Nora! Wait!" Matthew called. "I-i was wondering if maybe you wanted to go with me?" he stammered.

"I don't even want to know," Emma said, appearing beside Alexis and surveying the scene.

"I now this sounds insensitive right now, but you never answered me, Death," Sol stated nervously.

"Umm, Nora, I clearly think I don't fit your shoes. Errr.... Maybe someone else will ask you." she comforted Nora. When she stopped wiping her tears, she turned to Sol, and looked him in the eyes. All of a sudden her face felt hot. She began to blush like mad. Death opened her mouth to speak, and after moments of trying to say something, calmed herself down. "I..... Ummmm..... Errr.... I,I,I, um, I accept-" she took a deep breath-"your offer. As in yes! I'll... go to the dance with you." she said brushing the hair out of her eyes.

"Great!" Sol exclaimed awkwardly. "Maybe we could hang out some more this afternoon? I mind of have to get to the dorms to study."

"Sure, I'd love to." Death exclaimed back. "Let's see.... Um, how about the lake?" she suggested.

Nora Walks in and everybody turns to look. She walks in a few steps and says with alot of courage I will not ask anyone to go to the dance from now on people need to ask me

Death noticed the gasps of shock from behind and saw Alexis and Emma with gaping mouths.

"umm, Matthew just asked you though Nora." Death said.

"The lake sounds great. I'd love to get to know you better. Well, I'm off!" He left with a slight wave goodbye.

"O.K.! See ya after Defense against the dark arts class!" she called goodbye to Sol. She turned to Alexis and Emma. "What's wrong?" she asked them.
