I checked out the links you provided. I read the beginning of your book via the free sample. It sounds like a very good story. It hooks the reader right away and the writing style keeps the reader interested.

I don't know much about Kindle or Smashwords. Does the reader need a gadget to access the downloads or does the book get downloaded onto one's computer. Can you explain?

How many MBs of space would your book take up on my computer? I've never downloaded an entire book.

That sounds do-able. When our sons visit at Christmastime, I'll see if they can help me download your book. I see that there are a number of options to choose from. The following looks like a possible choice:
"Plain Text (view) (viewable as web page)".

I'll see what my sons say.

Meanwhile, I'll try to read more of the sample online.

I love experimenting with these new formats, but I'm always fearful of the technology. This is a way for me to learn how the technology works and also a chance to read your story. Two birds with one stone. (g)
